Attention new owners: Bull Durham has a league constitution, which you can read here:

Most importantly, the league has a relegation rule, which triggers at 14,500 and 14,000 points for the season. 14,000 is easy to achieve, even by rebuilding teams, provided owners stay engaged throughout the season. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Yeah, I live in Europe. But 8 PM Eastern time would be allright for me. That is 2 AM over here. But I can set the alarm and draft during the night. This way at least the kids don't interfere.

OK, I think we have settled on March 12 for the draft. Next challenge: What time? We are spread across many time zones, which gets tricky. To kick off the discussion, I suggest 8 PM Eastern, which should get most of us out of the work day. I can't even remember if we still have someone in Europe though...

Ryan has helpfully already found a potential replacement owner, Jason W. Jason has played Ottoneu since 2020. He is currently in six(!) leagues, commissioning three of them. He is looking for a leagues that is active on the trade front, competitive, and featuring engaged leaguemates. Sounds like us! All in favor?

Hey there crew! I'm afraid I'm going to be stepping away from Ottoneu this year. My wife and I are going to be writing and editing a textbook together - which is awesome! I'm pumped! But I'm incapable of half-doing Ottoneu and need to step away. Please find a replacement owner for me.

Hi everyone, I completely fell asleep at the wheel (taking a break after working to replace four owners) and failed to note the arbitration season or even complete my own allocation before the deadline. We have three teams (Caimans, Little Red Birds, and Hungry Hungry Homers) that failed to allocate. We really don't want this kind of situation, so I propose those teams send me arb numbers and I will manually adjust player salaries. Are owners ok with this approach?

News: The Eckfords have also decided to retire. While turning over four managerial slots in one offseason is less than ideal, every owner has left for unrelated reasons. I am not concerned about the overall health of our league, but I am a tired commissioner! The good news is I now have candidates for both remaining vacancies. (See next post)

Hi folks, Licking the Struckies has informed me that he will not be returning for the 2025 season, despite Ohtani and Soto's pleading. I am recruiting on the Ottoneu community page, but if anyone has a friend who can be lured by superstars, go ahead and invite them.

Note to whoever just nominated a bazillion players, including their grandmother: You are not allowed to enter the offseason with an illegal roster. Teams are allowed to carry over 40 players only if the extras are on the 60-day IL. If you have an illegal roster after Monday, you must cut down to a legal one.
