Putting up an even goose egg is a pretty rare feat. I wonder if there is a badge for that.
-
Fighting for my life to make the OPL cut right now and the fact that I added Lorenzen and Lindor after the last roster lock just killed my soul.
-
Great decision! On the road versus Oakland and Kansas City are probably the most preferred match-ups.
-
I have had Domingo German on my team for about six weeks, and that was the first game he went into my starting lineup.
-
I'm mostly just glad he is on my fantasy team because I never would have been watching that game if he wasn't!
-
Congrats Squirrels on getting German in your lineup for the perfecto. And on the same night Gallegos drops -30ish points for me.
-
Henry Davis took it over the top. I know my team statistically out of contention but need to start building a winning culture. Def want to finish the season strong
-
That you did! Joe Ryan alone outscored 8 teams.
-
I won today!!!
-
Ha! I just traded for him recently so checks out. At least they're saying mid back tightness and not elbow or shoulder.
-
Shane McClanahan removed from the game and his velo was down... Rays can't catch a break with their starters health this year!
-
Yeah I still think there is some upside, but hard to see him being worth $7 next year.
-
If he was $1 or $2 I would be interested, $5 is a little on the high side imo. I always liked him, I own him in two leagues, but for $1 and $3.
-
Tanner Houck should be back before the end of the season, but I am willing to trade him for someone who isn't currently on the IL.
-
Eury's innings will be limited considerably this year. They will be extra careful with him.
-
Wish I had one. Melendez hasn't been great for me either. Underlying metrics look good but ppg have not.
-
Anyone have a competent catcher they want to trade me? Kirk has been painful...
-
Yeah it will be interested to see which one becomes more valuable. I lean Eury Perez, but the upside for both is really high. It is amazing how good both are already performing at 20 and 21. I hope they don't send Eury down when Trevor Rogers comes back, but I don't think they can justify it if he keeps pitching this well.
-
*Too much relative to points. I’m sure Walker would go for 20 dollars minimum next years auction no matter how he performs. I knew he had trade value but was shocked at the level.
-
7 dollar Walker vs 2 dollar Eury was big part of the calculation. Both have the rare shot to be the best at their position, but all prospects are lottery tickets and can easily fizzle out (I don’t even want to remember who I gave you for Gavin Stone Winnetka!). 9 dollars next year too much if Walker doesn’t elevate this year.
-
That's an interesting trade. I personally would take Eury Perez. I've watched Walker a few times and I'm not that impressed. He complains a lot about balls and strikes already and he has been brutal in LF. Trading for pitching prospects can be risky as it seems more often than not they will have a major arm injury within a year.
-
Haniger, and Kris Bryant is a little b!tc&.
-
And now Polanco.
-
You have been bit really hard by the injury bug. At the moment all of Buxton, Bryant, Bellinger, Cron, Story, Rodon, Sale, McCullers, Rasmussen and Fairbanks all on the IL. Some of them were always risky and bound to end up on the IL stint but that is a lot at one time.
-
My season across the board just keeps getting worse by the week. Starting to consider throwing in the towel.
-
Oh I wouldn't either. I was just making the point that he did return that salary last year. I agree that he is probably overrated and isn't worth his current average salary, I just disagree with him being one of the most overrated players of the last 5 years.
-
Sorry I missed your reply, I must have had my second message open awhile before sending. To answer your question 25-28ppg. But personally I wouldn't assume 161 games on any player in this era.
-
I remember scouting Lindor when he was in the minors. He had very little power as evidenced with his 21 home runs in 1900 PAs. I believe Lindor was able to sneak in a few cycles of PEDs. How else can one explain a spike in power like Lindor had? He got his contract, now his power is leveling off. Baez was a much better prospect than Lindor, doesn't appear Baez had the same nutritional program as Lindor had.
-
What would your model say he was worth at a 5.52 p/g and 161 games because that is what he did last year and I would bet that is pretty well in line with what his average salary is.
-
Based on my model, I value Lindor in the $16-20 range. That's assuming Lindor is a 4.8-5.0 ppg playing 150 games. Considering his average fangraphs salary is $27 and his $320m/10yr contract, Lindor is one of the most overrated players both in Ottoneu and the MLB.
-
I think it takes special personality to not check out at least a little bit after signing long term monster deal. So many examples of monster contract busts over the years. If WAR for fantasy is around 4.8 points per game then do think Lindor under performing
-
I would rather have that contract than the 140 Million the Tigers are paying Javier Baez
-
Granted I did trade and bid on him
-
32 mil a year for 10 years is why I hear Winnetka on over rated.
-
Yes a lot of that value comes from his defense, but he has still been a well above-average hitter as well. Last year he slashed .270/.339/.449 along with 26 HR, 16 SB, 98 Runs, and 107 RBIs; maybe not quite what he was doing at his peak in Cleveland, but still very good.
-
Must be the defense that gets him to that WAR? I tend to forget about defensive value since it’s irrelevant in the fantasy baseball world. He’s certainly not in the top ten realm as a hitter.
-
Yeah, he really dropped off and has only managed to have the 9th highest WAR in the league since joining the Mets. I don't think I am going to be sold on this one.
-
Lindor was great on Cleveland
-
How about the past 3 years in the Mets era? I think some players lose production after signing long term monster deals.
-
Considering he has the 5th most WAR over the last 5 years, I gotta say I'm going to disagree with that take.
-
Lindor is one of the most overrated players in MLB the past five years.
-
Looks like the timing of adding Lindor might have been really good with Correa exiting the game.
-
I think you should collect three more elite shortstops like they're Infinity Stones.
-
Squirrels I can’t believe you won the Lindor draft with your salary! Real life Mets lol. I will be interested in lindor closer to trade deadline if I still have surplus cash.
-
I have three star shortstops now. Happy to keep them all as they especially all help me in OPL, but definitely willing to trade one of Correa, Lindor, or Seager.
-
Too bad Washington nationals aren’t in the NL Central. What is going on in the NL cnetral
-
It's gotten so frustrating along with watching the Twins that a little while ago a screamed F___!!!! after Altuve hit a grand slam today. I know my kids heard me.
-
Sorry for the misunderstanding, and for the record, I most definitely would have sat Stroman. Furthermore this has to be my worst start in starting pitchers throughout my four teams. I sat Manoah and Musgrove just once all year, those starts respectively 53 and 42 points. They have 98 and 88 points respectively all year.
-
That is indeed how I meant it. Just some good ol’ self-depreciating humor to help get me through the season!
-
That is also how I took it, and that's rough but I probably would have sat Stroman as well.
