Alright, folks. The rules that I sent out can be considered a proposal. This a request for a vote. Please vote "For" or "Against" on this league message board by EOD Sunday, December 1st. A majority vote will rule, the commish's vote breaks a tie.
-
I just resent it. There's a character limit on the board which is why I messaged via e-mail. As far as voting goes, we will vote on the payout change when that occurs. Everything else will be implemented without a vote.
-
I get about 200 Ottoneu emails a day, including some from you. But I did not get that message. Why don't you just post these changes here that you would LIKE to make so we can vote on them.

Alright, folks. Here's the deal: I sent an e-mail on November 16th with some details things I am implementing after the 2020 season and beyond. If you did get it, great. If you did not, please check your e-mail just to be sure. If you did not get it (and are not getting regular prompts on trades, transactions and league messages), change your e-mail in your Ottoneu account so that you get these e-mails. Thanks!
-
I sent a PM
-
I didn't get it. And what do you mean new facets?

Ok, I hadn't looked back far enough, got it, and I like all 3. The Franchise System is new to me, I think it looks good.
-
I didn't find one.
-
I sent an e-mail through the "E-mail the league" feature regarding new facets to the league that will take place after next season. Did anyone not get it?
-
Hey guys, thanks for having me! My trade block is updated and looking to make a few deals
-
Hi all, I would like to introduce Matt, the new owner of Lux Capacitor! He lives in Brooklyn and is a Phillies fan. Trading season is now open. I am finalizing some additions to the league and will send the messaging out for these items soon. Good luck and thanks for the full participation in arbitration!
-
Everyone, please welcome Jon, the owner of ??? (formerly Deuce's Wild)! He lives in Denver and is a Cubs fan.
-
Chad of Deuces Wild decided he wanted out of Ottoneu, so the team is open. I have someone inline but I would take recs if he doesn't pan out.
-
Hey everyone, hope nobody minds this quick plug...I'm a Commish of another league finishing up it's first year and I need a new owner. Anyone here interested in taking on a second (or third) team? I've been careful in league selection when joining new leagues, we have a fun group and a couple of west coast guys already in the league! :) If interested send me a message! Link to team: https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/1013/team?team=7215
-
It would’nt be a message from your commission without a gaffe. I meant arbitration, not arbitrage
-
I declare this frickin arbitrage convention open! One month to spend $25, it’s like going back in time It seems as if we have a full ship for the moment. I’d like to thank you all for being a good group of owners. I’m working on some ideas to keep this league as interesting and competitive as it can be. I’ll let you know the details as soon as I have them ironed out. In the meantime, enjoy the playoffs and making good players more expensive to own. Choose wisely.
-
Thanks for the welcome, I'm excited to join another established league. I am excited about the roster start I get here as well, unlike the rebuild required with the last team I took over! I look forward to the fun season ahead!
-
Welcome. . .your new team is almost going to be able to set on cruise control next year. I just noticed tho that almost every team made the 15,500 pt threshold. There is a Great Chemistry badge available if the whole league is reaches it. https://community.ottoneu.com/badges Great season all.
-
Everyone, please welcome Harold, the new owner of TBD. He's a Reds fan in Cincinnati and he's fresh off winning two leagues this year. It's going to be tough competition for all of us.
-
We have another owner joining shortly
-
From TBS: Josh, I am going in a different direction, so I won't be playing with you and your guys next season. You should be able to find someone to take over TBD. Thanks for a fun year. You have a good league, and you are a good Commish. Good luck to you.

Hi folks, we're six days away from arbitration. If you are not staying in the league, please let me know via PM or the message board. If you are, no need to message.
-
From what I have seen, there were a lot of after-the-fact adjustments in points and stats that happened a couple days after the season ended. I think this is a product of the third-party stats source that was making the changes. Another league that I am in was affected by this - some races were down to 3 points difference after the changes where they were not as close before. In this case, it didn't affect the outcome but I would definitely be asking for more clarity if the races were closer.
-
I was thinking the same thing as well regarding the 1499 innings. I guess I should read the rules and pay more attention to them. It took me two years to understand that you can actually go over 1500 innings.
-
I wondered about that, too. At one point, the system had you starting the day with 1499.1 IP and I though maybe the system considered anything more than 1499 to be 1500, so it shut you down. But I don't know. The system sometimes does weird stuff. It has ADDED 2 points to my final score since Sunday. I hope you get your points back.
-
Not that it matters much, but I didn’t get any points from my pitching on the last day. I can’t figure out why, If anyone knows or can figure it out, I wouldn’t mind knowing.
-
Congrats on 1st, TBD! Now it's time for playoff baseball
-
Congrats to TBD on the Victory! A great race thru the last few weeks.

Way to go, Bill (TBA)!

Congrats to TBD on a strong season and a strong finish! Even after losing Yelich and Marte, you just kept rolling. It was an impressive job streaming pitching from the waiver wire. Most everyone else finished strong as well; thanks to all on making it a competitive league! Enjoy the playoffs and get ready to arb in a couple of weeks.
-
Thanks. A fun season. Props to Winnetka for an awesome late-season run.

Fun season guys! Congrats on the win, TBD!

It's pretty much a two-team race now. I'm making popcorn

My team is a little too far out of it to make a run this season. Anyone interested in Syndergaard, Votto, or Carpenter can send offers my way. Looking for some pieces to help my team in 2020.
-
Looks like Blake Treinen went from unstoppable last year to very stompable this year. He has a good salary and a good chance to get back to some semblance of where he used to be. I'm looking for strong replacements for this year, inquire within. "Treinen" something different, so to speak
-
Given Gallo's value for this season will be heavily diminished for this season, I am putting him on the block. If you're looking to next year and have some pieces that will help me this year, let me know. I will be looking to send out offers shortly.
-
Jose Ramirez is over 7 P/G in his last 10 games. Anybody interested in buying?

There's a good race going on in this league and it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Participation has been great in the league and everyone has been active in playing for this year, next or 2023. Have a good All-Star break and good luck in the second half!
-
I would prefer the side Winnetka even if I were rebuilding but the prospect haul Moose is getting is pretty good. I don't think that it is totally lopsided (the Trout trade Winnetka mentioned was worse - not current Shark Sandwich's fault). You're all tree to vote but, if approved, we can move on.
-
Relax, Twins. No hurt in talking about trades. I think the trade is fine, given the volume and salaries of the prospects, but TBD's concerns aren't unreasonable, since you're getting two MVP candidates, regardless of salary, for a group prospects that may never play in the majors.

Fwiw, Shark had a different owner last year than Frye's does this year
-
Eddie Rosario and Yulieski Gurriel for Mike Trout. That included an $86 loan.
-
Sharky, wtf are you talking about this is a little off? Let's review the trades you made last year and your $700 roster.
-
TBD, the year after? What am I left with next year from this trade? Do you think I'll cut JD and Betts next year to keep a $58 35 year old pitcher? Veto the fucking the trade, I don't really care that much. Honestly, I think Moose got the better end. Even with this trade I'm unlikely to catch TBD, and the net result is I'm out four truly high-end prospects.
Also TBD, this is not a redraft league, this is a dynasty league format. It is not all about this year or even next.
-
this seems a little off...like the drunk cash offers I quickly withdrew last week. Has someone been sipping on the ole granddad?

I appreciate the explanations. I questioned it because I wanted to know if the league thinks it is balanced. The traders are happy. Great. To me the swap of assets is not close to balanced. I think I'll say the same next year and the year after, but that's maybe just my bias against hyped prospects. I wanted to know what the league thinks. Yadi, thanks for weighing in. I hope no one is pissed off because I am not, except that maybe Yelich is already voodooed.
-
ALright here's my rational. He made an offer for Scherz, I said only if the deal included Alvarez. Got a no. A few days later we went back and forth with over half dozen variants. I got 4 of the top prospects in the game 2 SP and 2 OF to fill out my future roster. All were rated higher than Alvarez preseason and have MLB eta 2020. Maybe even late this year.
