Ryan Helsey is available for a good pitcher or starting bat.
-
LOL, those all are slam dunk cuts!

I have some good players available (Luis Castillo, Matt Olson, Kevin Gausman, Masataka Yoshida, Andres Gimenez, Jordan Romano). Let's make some trades happen—no players are off-limits!
-
Fine with me!

It happens! I have no issues with it being reversed!
-
As the sender of the trade, I support reversing and will vote to veto!
-
Hey all, Happy Thanksgiving! Just posting here because I accidentally accepted a trade that I did not intend to accept. I had one brewing in another league that I was eager to accept and double-tapped accept in my early-morning haste to get the other deal done. I’m posting this publicly to avoid any accusation of impropriety. If commish and the crew is ok with it being reversed, awesome. If not, I am an adult and can live with the careless mistake
-
All, I’m looking into Pickoff Picks’ owner. It seems like his team has been abandoned.

Congrats, Horn...great season!
-
Thanks, folks! Fun year, definitely lucky I wasn't quite as snakebit with injuries as some of you were.
-
Well done, Horn!
-
Congratulations to Horn for the Championship!

Actually 3rd, I screwed up looking at 2018 as separate seasons.
-
Tyler Glasnow is up to 100 innings, 2nd time in nine years. Will he get to 200? 180?
-
Is it a fantasy baseball season if the big name (Michael Harris) you trade for doesn't go down to injury the first time you put him in the lineup?

Last year montreal and I did 2 similar trades. Kyle harrison for James woods. And then eury perez for jordan walker. Hopefully this time goes my way lol
-
Interesting trade. Two of the top prospects traded for each other, could go either way.
-
Rough week for elite SPs.
-
Yeah only 11 starting pitchers at $20 or above is kind of wild!
-
Wow never mind! Injured cole , rookie Yamamoto and free agent snell are the 3 top paid pitchers in this league. No one above 40
-
Yamamoto and snell will be the only pitchers above 30 dollars this year. Thats wild. 1 is a rookie 1 is a unsugned
-
Maybe a bold move, but most certainly a smart move. The math will tell you Cole wasn't worth $43 pre-injury.
-
If you're worried that the news will get worse (and it could given how the Yankees play serious injuries out), it could make sense to cut now and hope someone else takes the chance and frees you of the salary. If he ends up missing most of the season, you'd be cutting later with no chance of someone else picking him up at full price.
But it's still a bold move.

Wow cutting bait on Cole already!
-
I love to see how competitive and well-balanced this league has become, though; we should all be pretty encouraged by the closeness of these projections. Minus Boo Birds and PickOff Picks, who are in clear rebuild mode for this season, everyone is within the range that, even without pickups and trades accounted in, each team has a very real shot to have things go their way and win it.
-
Which I am okay with it being off for those bottom teams because I really want the projection to show if you are trying to win and can manage to max out your chances for points roughly where can you expect to end up.
-
I went and looked at how I did last year. My projections for the bottom half of the standings are pretty far off just because I am assuming full games and IP for everyone and so those who fall short fall far under my projections. However, for the top half they were quite close. On average, my preseason projection for the top 4 teams was less than 250 points off from where they finished.
-
Thanks Squirrels! It is always interesting to compare beginning of the season projections with actual results. There are a couple of elements that are very difficult to factor in projections such as cap situation and trade capital from prospects, depth, and others.
-
Well, that's a lot of pressure. Thanks for the projections, really cool that you do that.
-
Thanks for putting this together, Squirrels. Love to see how tight most of the field is projected. Really looks like we'll have a competitive year ahead!

If you want to know any extra info on your teams projection, or see your projections for something other than ATC, or anything like that let me know!
-
Alright everyone got my proejctions. These are based on ATC Projections for players. These assume every team gets 162 games at each position and 1500 innings pitched. For any teams that didn't have the players to fill 162 games at a position, I gave you 3.8 P/G from a "replacement" player. Boo Birds is the only team unable to get to 1500 innings, for projection purposes I'm still assuming you find innings off the waivers to get to 1500 and gave you 3.5 p/ip from "replacement"
-
Starting on projections for our league... if you haven't set your lineup, doing so makes it easier for me to run projections for your team.
-
Since this is a late start for a draft, we will start 8:00pm sharp. Please try to make your nominations on time. After the third failed nomination I plan on not letting that owner back in unless there are circumstances beyond his/her/them/they/it/whatever control.

That’s correct. You’ll click on the “auction draft” link above on the league page.

My only other Ottoneu league does drafts externally on couchmanagers so I'm not used to the standard setup lol - to confirm the draft platform is directly here on the Ottoneu site?

Yeah $55 is actually more than I normally have at auction time, but still far less fun than the $215 I had available for yesterday's auction.

Me and my *checks roster* 39 available dollars are ready

That makes 11/11 who either responded to the poll or we have heard from directly or indirectly (Pick0ff Picks told Chicago Never Bored that he could make it.) Wreckers mentioned he liked later weekday times and has been to Ottoneu on a regular basis so consider Draft Day: Wednesday, February 21, 2024 8:00 PM CST written in stone.

Welcome to the league! I'm surprised the previous owner didn't renew, given how active they were, but at least that means you get to take over a team in decent (albeit post-championship push) shape.

Hello everyone...I have claimed the Walnut Hill team and am excited to be joining the league. Looks like I can make a round of cuts since the previous owner didn't renew. Not much to cut but would like a little more cap room before the draft. Anyways, again happy to be here.
-
I didn't realize or I forgot that Walnut Hill didn't renew. Hopefully we can find an owner soon.
