Another possibility: you need a better sales team? I mean, “if he keeps this up I may end up keeping him for a buck” isn’t real confidence inspiring about his next couple months. I think you meant to say of course you plan to keep him but he’ll be 34 (and has sucked for awhile—but edit that!), there’s risk so you wonder if he wouldn’t be more valuable to a contender this year than to you next year….

Not so frustrating, I can use the innings myself and if he keeps this up I may end up keeping him for a buck.
-
They don't get that you specifically want to trade Quintana not just make any trade.
-
Its frustrating Mikey ,I've been there .
-
Quintana has now put together four straight high-point starts in a row. As I keep getting offers for my high end keeper pitchers, Quintana could help a contending team in need of innings. He could be yours for any player I’d keep next year.
-
BTW, Kremer is pitching tonight against the Red Sox.

Agree with the Field of Dreams takes. They should digital insert Votto into the movie. He's perfect.

MLB does a lot wrong, but this Field of Dreams game is not one of them.
a few thoughts:
- Jr definitely should have come out wearing a backwards cap
- Votto looks like he actually played back in the day. what a throwback guy
- Larkin looks like he could still play. Ryno, not so much
- the Hawk is still intimidating as hell
-
Kremer has actually been solid this year for real baseball. 57 IP over 11 starts, for a 3.92 FIP and a single WAR. Over a full season of starts, that's something like 3 WAR over 175 IP. Which is useful. You need dudes like that. His occasional blow ups make him less than useful in Otto though.

Yeah, even at the time Baltimore's "haul" for Machado was not especially well regarded. Of the five only Diaz was a top 100 prospect, and none of the others were considered better than #25 within the Dodgers org.
-
Soto has 2 more years of team control. It’s not comparable at all.

Although its not apples to apples as Machado was a pure rental and soto still has a year of team control left
-
It will be interesting to see how DC guys acquired from SD do four years from now
-
you get my point though, no May, Gonsolin, Lux etc went back to the Orioles ...single A and R league long shots that havent panned out after four years . LAD is a clever organization
-
Kremer and Diaz were both rostered in this league at one point or another.
-
Four years ago, LAD traded a " big haul " to get Machado's from Baltimore..anyone ever here of these guys ? : Four years ago when the Dodgers imported Machado from across the country, they sent a package of pitcher Dean Kremer, outfielder Yusniel Diaz, reliever Zach Pop, infielder Breyvic Valera, and infielder Rylan Bannon to Baltimore.

Okay. I need a weather report for Wrigley today. Wind blowing in or out?

The non baseball related off field injuries really are infuriating . Like Tati's and a few years back Cesepedes falling into a pit on his ranch , and of course the Ron gant mini bike debaucle
-
Sonofabitch this is the first I saw of it and hoped that it was a bad joke.
-
Chris Sale breaks himself riding a bike and is out for the year (again).
-
I've been drinking Saisons lately with all this heat and humidity . They are slightly cloudy be design , bottle conditioned so very carbed, tastes a bit like a lambic and a bit like a wheat beer. Refreshing as hell
-
I do like NE Hazy IPAs and double IPAs, but I admit there are a lot of meh ones. A lot of them are overcarbonated. Over the summer I've been trying a lot of the local brands.

Wait, what just happened there? 2 random RPs got exchanged, but there was also a veteran masher and $30+ thrown in for some reason. This on top of the recent “just throw in Gerritt Cole” incident, and I’m starting to have substantial trust issues with you all.
-
My own brews are painstakingly cold crashed , gelled , lagered and use plenty of healthy highly flocculent yeast to drop out and fall to the bottom of fermenter after they have consumed their sugar.
-
Sorry Henry , I don't care for NE hazy IPA . As a brewer , I view haze , cloudiness ,visual sediment as a flaw . Unless a Hefe Weiss or some Belgians ,where the yeast is part of the overall beer character .
-
Probably a hipster millennial hang out, but I'd still like to check.it out
-
Yeah, I think I prefer 6 well chosen taps than my choice of 350 different poorly done hazies. (Not too slag off the Raleigh Beer Garden, I bet it's fantastic. But I also bet that at least a third of their taplist is IPAs that are meh at best)
-
It’s pointless.. Nobody needs that degree of choice. My bar has 9 taps and people stand there stupefied by the options.
-
How am I just now finding out there is a place in Raleigh, N.C. with 400 beers on tap?
-
And in other franchise prequel news… House of the Dragon 8/21. Andor 9/21. That trailer looks awesome
-
Just a reminder for all you Tolkein geeks; LOTR series starts Sept. 2 on prime video. Prequel goes back to the 2nd age and the forging of the rings .
-
Another good start from Quintana
-
If anyone looks at Springer as a 2023 keeper, I'd be interested in trading him right now for a healthier player. Springer has 6ppg upside. I'd trade him for a 5.5ppg outfielder who plays every day.

Henry was in 1st for about 30 minutes today

17 innings and only 46 points from my 3 best SPs tonight. Probably the end of my hopes of hanging in.
-
Wick is now the Cubs closer
-
Crap, lost a Syndergaard start vs lowly Oakland
-
I'm.pleased Degrom doesn't have to face Soto
-
Ahh Hitch, but he’s just now coming around
-
Hosmer might dickblick the trade and Didgers are waiting in the weeds
-
Wow, Kudos to the Padres. Thats a fabulous trade for them. The NL postseason is going to be epic!
-
Soto and Bell to Padres for CJ Abrams, Robert Hassel III, Jarlin Susana, James Wood, and Hosmer for salary purposes
-
Good luck with that, Mikey. I’ve been shopping him in my NL-only and can’t find a taker
-
Quintana is looking good and now a Cardinal where he have the opportunity to pitch in meaningful games. He’s available for almost anyone who’s a next year keeper.
-
Vasquez to Houston

Wow, Joe Ryan. It's pretty tough to go 4.2 inn and still put up -40 points.
