I can see positives and negatives on two sides. If we abandon and get a new owner, we likely increase the likelihood of engagement and activity. However, we could also see an owner come in who wants to strip everything down and trade all of the good assets with no guarantee he will be back next season.

Hey guys. We have a team that has trended toward inactive - Stinky Fingers. I'm reaching out to the owner to see if we can get him involved again. In the event that he does not respond or become active, what do we want to do about the team?

I guess we have to wait right? a lot of the FA's values will change depending on where they land. No one wants to over pay for someone when they didn't need to.

Do we want to go ahead and set an auction, or do we want to wait longer for a new CBA and more free agency to resolve?

I haven’t set a draft yet. We can start discussing, but I figured it better to wait until we have more clarity on the season’s start. There are so many free agents left that it feels like very incomplete info for the auction.

Czech Mate messaged me that he would like to abandon and move on. There have been some life complications that are preventing running the team. Does anyone have a prospective owner that would be interested before I abandon the team and open it for the public?

Rotor has asked that his team be abandoned. Rotor was an original member of the league and had been here for 10 years I think. Good luck to him!

I at least want to propose that we abandon Not a Cat, who was absent from arb and does not seem to be actively looking at this team. The others have been logging in but for some reason did not complete arb. I have asked each for a firm commitment.

About half of our owners have been here for 5+ years, and this has been an excellent league for 10+ years. We want to make sure it continues to be, which is why I want to come up with a plan to deal with the inactivity or possible intentional choice to miss arbitration. We need everyone involved as much as possible.

wow, thats not a good sign. well which ever route you guys do decide to take it would be helpful if it was sooner rather then later so that the owners who are still interested in competing could find another league to settle in with.

So we haven't dealt with arb specifically with this. However, given how many it is, I don't know it bodes well for us this off-season.

Alright folks, we had five teams not allocate. Our league has seen some downturn in activity over the last couple of years, and I'd like to see that change. How do we want to handle teams that did not allocate?

Last call for arbitration. Fyi, for those who do not allocate, I will be putting a recommendation to the league that we find different owners. This is a critical part of the season, and there is plenty of time to make these allocations.

I've allocated, thank you for the reminder. Leaning towards abandoning this team, COVID-19 really impacted my lifestyle and I realize a lot of my engagement with Fantasy Baseball was filling the little breaks in the office-centric working day. Now that I'm working from home it's not as good a fit, and I was fairly inactive in 2021. I'll decide in the next couple weeks. I've appreciated playing with you these past years.
