How do you move the player to the lineup?

Good reminder for everyone to make sure they do that

Should just be a button that says lineups at the top and then you can put the players in the starting section

idk about transferring my team to someone. this is a dynasty. I'm still going to play to win.
-
yeah, me too Ace. i figure that if were in the running at the end of the year for money (i.e. a playoff team) that we need to transfer our team to someone from a state that isn't banned... and then hope that WA gets it together and updates our archaic laws on "sports betting".

Re payouts/league fees, does anyone know the answer to this question: We paid $1200 in. Per team administrative fees are $20 (12x20= $240). Here is the payout: $600 $200 $100. = $900. That's $1140 accounted for. What happened to the other $60? Or am i just real bad at math?

Otto is a community platform. it's run by the community, which is really helpful. Again, it's not at all similar to yahoo

i looked over the rules Ace. maybe i didn't catch every little detail in the manifesto but I tried to set up the best league experience it was letting me. It wasn't so easy. And, i contacted Ottoneu and they didn't want to help. they wanted me to ask the "community". Anyway, it is what it is.

I just dont know if you can change settings at this point. But yes, agreed. Otto has a whole rules charter that explains all this stuff that I'd have looked at before setting up the league.

Yeah, As commish you should look at the rules. :) It would have been better to have a GS cap each matchup rather than a season inning cap, because that will mean if someone hit's their cap, they score no more pitching points for the rest of the year? I would be game to vote to change it to 8 GS per week rather than a season innings cap which will be hard to follow. it makes sense to have one or two starters each day and a full bullpen without a GS cap.
-
No it means that you get 2 per day. if you set the cap, then you're capped to a certain number of starts per week. So this way does allow for more starts.

I see. I didn't want a cap on Starts allowed so I went with zero. that to me was seemingly setting no cap. oh well.

There is a 1250 IP max anyway. If we had a ton of SP slots, we’d knock out that in no time. This provides more season long value
-
you have the GS cap set to 0 so it means, 2 SP slots per day
Mat-Su Miners on
March 11, 2023 12:10 PM
-
In head-to-head leagues and during the playoffs, a starting lineup consists of one slot at each infield position (catcher, first base, second base, third base, and shortstop), five outfielder slots, one additional middle infielder (second base or shortstop) slot, one additional hitter from any position (utility slot) and five relief pitcher slots. The number of starting pitcher slots depends on the league's Per Week GS Cap setting

welp, i see no option as to how we can. We'll just be an OF/RP dominant league. smh. oh well. maybe it'll be great. and we'll all pick it up as we go and end up liking this format a lot...for now...its disgruntledness time....

it just means 2 starts per day. not 2 starters. Also, yeah i drafted with the roster in mind so it would be annoying to change it now

well, 2 SPs is ridiculous. is that editable even before the draft? this system was not very intuitive and i don't see it anywhere (the editing of positions). did people really draft 3rd tier relievers b/c of the 5 RPs thing and is that really going to effect anyone to go to 4 RPs and 3 SPs even if we can? or keep 5 RPs and go to 3SPs..but again, it's probably all academic b/c i don't think we can.

This isnt yahoo. I dont think you can change the settings, especially after the draft as that would have altered my draft strategy and I would not be okay with that anyway. It's supposed to be max starts per week, 2 per day I think.

then again, i have no idea how to change it even if i could (maybe you can't)...and maybe you vets can weigh in. are these always the settings? just 2 SP and 5 OF?
STL BROWNS on

well this part is ridiculous. the 5 OF and 2 SP and 86 RPs. seriously, any objection to my changing that to make it realistic. ugh. can we drop 1 OF spot and add a CI or something. I didn't change those settings or even see how. (and i tried to go through every option). And this part is even worse: To get credit for a pitcher's performance, you must play him in the same role as his major league team uses him. (i.e. SP or RP) Fine, if we have 4 SP and 3 RP max

i'd suggest we move up to 5pm PT/8pm ET, or slightly earlier (i.e. 4:30pm PT/7:30pm ET). However, i won't do it if anyone objects (b/c of work/commitments,etc). You've already paid, and the draft was set at 5:30pm PT/8:3pm ET Friday so this idea is to be helpful (to east coasters), but not hurtful in the sense of preventing someone from beginning the draft. So, any objection to a move to 5pmPT/8pm ET or even 4:30pm PT/7:30pm ET?

@Gaussian cricket: the league settings are requiring that i pick a date....but i've also emailed about four new managers from the ottoneu community message board

My two cents is not to lock in a draft date until we have all 12 owners. Don’t want to lose potential owners just because we stuck with a firm draft date.
And I think if you hold the line and keep the league open, we’ll get more and more in the next week+. But I’d push the draft out more toward mid-to-late March. More intel on injuries, batting order, etc. by then.
FWIW

ok, well, i pushed back one more week. i contacted otttoneu customer service too about changing to 10 teams and they said that $100 leagues had to be 12 teams. that's fine, but we just need help filling it, so they've suggested we hit the ottoneu community forum...
