• Less than a week left to get your Arbitration in! For the first-time ottoneu-ers, you allocate salary to opposing teams. You can only add $3 to each team, and each team must get $1 from you. You have $25 to allocate, and if you don't allocate all of it, none of your arbitration dollars will count

• if you want to claim a guy cut you click the small Claim link on the league homepage the click the check box. Those are 24 hour claims, then they can be reauctioned by anyone. Reminder when you claim you get them for the price they were cut at, not half price, like you would if you start a free agent auction.

• Power rankings are fun but rarely accurate. I've been predicted to win multiple leagues after auction but didn't even place in the top five many of those seasons. That's one thing that's fun about fantasy baseball, it's a long season and a lot can happen to change outcomes.

• These power rankings seem to be as helpful as the surplus calculator -- if it says your team is on top, it's the best! And should be taken as gospel! If it says your team is on the bottom (raises hand), then these rankings are crap and should be wholly discarded!

• Great Draft guys, it ran smooth. Reminder, when you cut someone pay attention to your cap space, you need $1 for each space...also you can re-auction your cuts after 30 days, that is a good way of getting money back (if someone else doesn't snatch them up). • Tip for searching for players, have a few tabs open, auction, roster, and player search....in the player search you can filter by ownership % (mlb or milb or both) and as the draft goes on that is helpful for finding players you may have forgotten about.

• also during the draft you have the option to +1 +2 or +5, or typing in your bid amount, you can get burned (especially the first night) by people jumping up quickly (i am guilty of this). You also can start a nomination higher than $1, I will do this a lot (no need to start Judge below $30) so be careful.

• Now that we are full, there is a button on the home screen that says "Auction Draft" you can enter the room now and get familiar with the system, its basic, but works well. You can set up a watch list and during the draft you will get a ding each time a player is nominated. I would spend 10 - 15 minutes getting used to the system (aka how to search and where the buttons are).
