Hudson made a good run on OPL. Finished 173rd missing the cut by 3 points.
-
OPL must have cut off at 5pm, before my games started. There's a hard redline, and it has already moved over to the next stage. That sucks. Missed by 2 points. I thought that we had until the end of the round on Wednesday.
-
Looks like the OPL is not updating. I have been stuck on the same position and number since 5.30pm. No idea where I am right now. But not hopeful.
-
he is currently 2 points off the cut line, but has plenty of hitters and RPs still to go.
-
at this moment, Hudson is 171st.
-
And one inning in, and its is the Michael King of the first five starts ...
-
I have one SP today. Michael King. Do I get the one from the first 5 starts or the one from the last. He has to pitch like the last start! And I have too many lefty hitters today matched against lefty pitchers, so they will get pulled by moronic managers because only RH hitters can hit both LH and RH pitchers, and LH hitters cannot hit LH pitchers. Someone needs to explain THAT to me one day.
-
Going into the last day of OPL round 1, Hudson is 165th and 30 points above the cut line. Go Hudson!
-
I have 13 players on the IL now. Hopefully a few coming back over the next few weeks to make an impact. Not sure though if I can stay above water for the OPL. Need some stellar performances from the guys I have.
-
This phase of OPL ends after the WED games, with the cut line being at 170. Gezzer is currently 13th. Roca is 42nd. JOB is 71st. Hudson has moved above the cut line to 167th, but his margin is only 10 pts with 3d to go. Go Hudson! It would be great to get all four of our teams through the first round of OPL.
-
The season is now 25% complete (40g is on pace for 162). Three teams are over 3K for the last 30d (Roca, JBO and Hudson). One team is over 700 for the last 7d (Geezer). The top hitters are Roca, Geezer, JBO and GTown. The top pitchers are Roca, Freshmeat, Portland and Hudson. The current leaders are Roca, Geezer, Freshmeat and Hudson. The projected leaders are Roca, Geezer, JBO and Freshmeat.
-
200 for Freshmeat!
-
OPL: Hudson has had a couple of hot days. He is up to 179 and has cut the margin to 49. He needs to gain 9/d to make the cut (170th).
-
Oh well, back to 12 on IR, and 4 on the 60IL. They are now getting the same injuries on their return. Race horses get better treatment. Time they started using veterinarians.
-
Sorry, I have been called up to pitch I my team from the mixed softball league. My pitchers yesterday have been sent down to that league based on whatever they were throwing yesterday. I have decided to stop using any pitchers as the last two outings they have combined lost me points.
I figured I was 2-3 years fro the OPL, and I was right. My team needs to mature and get some consistency.
-
In the OPL, Hudson's chance to make the cut this round are decreasing. He is down to 194th (cut is 170). 178 points behind, so needs 23/d to make the cut.
-
Geezer went over 200 yesterday
-
I had 12 this morning, but fortunately the desperation of certain clubs reduced that to 10 this afternoon.
-
I have a team in another league with 10 guys on the IL. It is brutal out there.
-
Injuries. I am not so much running a team as a rehabilitation center. I already did that once in my career and swore never to do it again. This lot gets injured rehabbing. I cannot see me making the OPL cut-off.
-
Managers: I mistakenly cut a player from Hickman as I thought it was 24 hours post having an over salaried roster. JD had dealt with this problem 30 minutes before I acted, but I had not refreshed my browser so did not see that. This was my error. I have added the LM cut player back to his team at his original salary.
-
Hudson’s injuries are setting him back in the OPL. With 9d to the cut he is now 188th, down 143 points, and needing to gain 16/d to get to 170th.
-
A new treat for this week, the hitting leaders are ROCA (AB, H, HBP), Geezer (2B), Maple (3B), JBO (HR, HBP), Freshmeat (BB), Hudson (SB) and Vancouver (CS). For pitching its KC (IP), Roca (SV, HBP), Beef (H), Hudson (K), Vancouver (H, BB, HR). Only Portland, Gtown and Hickman do not lead at least one category.
-
The season is now 20% complete (34g is on pace for 162). Roca and Freshmeat are over 3K points in the last 30d, and Roca is over 700 for the past 7d. Roca, Geezer, Freshmeat and Hudson are the current leaders, with Roca, Freshmeat, Geezer and JBO the projected leaders. The top hitters are Roca, Geezer, JBO and GTown. The top pitchers are Freshmeat, Roca, Portland and Vancouver. Geezer is 8th in the OPL with Roca 45th, JBO 57th and Hudson 188th. The cut line is 170 so Hudson needs to gain 12/d.
-
I have Trea Turner at a very nice salary of $21, but he is now out for 6 weeks with a hammy. Normally, I would just ride it out, but with my team competitive in OPL I cannot afford an unproductive roster slot. If anyone is interested and can afford the 6 weeks down time I am open to trading Turner for a solid player (at or above 5PPG). Preferably multi-position, but can be MI, or OF.
-
Roca surpassed 200 last night.
-
You are way ahead on IP so you have some room to wait for guys to come back.
-
I think Michael King has found a solution to the throwing arm injuries. Just toss a low rotation ball at around 80 mph down the middle of the strike zone. No curves, sliders, or anything other than 4 seamers. No arm issues at all. OK, sends my fantasy numbers for him down the toilet, but he may just be the last pitcher standing by mid-season.
I have 6 on the IL, and they even get hurt just trying to get back to throwing. I am waiting for my call up.

Abrreviated update as I am with the grandsons in NC this week. Roca passed Geezer this week and Freshmeat passed KC in the top 3. In the OPL, Geezer is 4th, JBO 47th, Roca 66th and Hudson 180th (the cut line is 170).

Fresh meat goes over 200!
-
all 4 of our OPL players are above the cut line!
-
Hudson's pitchers already got him 100 pts today!
-
200 for JBO!
-
For clarity, OPL snapshot occurs AFTER the WED games, at 0400 ET on the 25th. Transactions must process by 0400 on the 25th to be included in the next OPL roster to cut #1.
-
For the OPL players, there is a roster snapshot on WED...be sure to make any desired adjustments by then.
-
Week 3 is finished and the season is 13% complete. Geezer moved into 1st, dropping Roca to 2nd and KC remains 3rd. Geezer also moved into first as projected leader, dropping Roca to 2nd, and JBO passed Freshmeat for 3rd. The top hitters remain Roca, Geezer and JBO. The top pitchers remain Freshmeat and Portland, but Vancouver has moved into 3rd over KC. In the OPL, Geezer has moved into 1st!!, while Roca is 71st, and JOB 81st, with Hudson at 191 (moving closer to the cut line of 170).
-
200 for Roca yesterday
-
Hey Graeme is having a fire sale! Everyone must go. That is some trade block change.
-
Week 2 is complete and 4 teams were over 700 last week (KC, Freshmeat, Geezer and Roca). Roca, Geezer and KC are the leaders, with Roca, Geezer and Freshmeat the projected leaders. The best hitters are Roca, Geezer and JBO, while the best pitchers are Freshmeat, Portland and KC. In the OPL, Geezer is 2nd! Roca is 54th, JBO 81st, all above the 170 cut line in MAY. Bruce is 202nd, just 122 points off the cut at this point.
-
KC Moneybags has moved into 2nd and is bearing down on Geezer
-
200 for Freshmeant and Justabit yesterday!
-
I neglected to mention the OPL: our own Larry is 4th among the 240 best players (in the premier league). Stephen is 99th, Tyler is 112th and Bruce is 194. The 5/15 cut line is 170 so there is work to do, but plenty of time to do it.
-
Our first full week is in the books and Larry and Bruce both scored over 700. The best hitters in the league are Tyler, then a tie between Larry and Paul. The best pitchers in the leagre are Brandon, then Elliot then Graeme. The top three scorers are Tyler, Larry and Bruce. The top 3 projected scorers are Tyler, Larry and Paul (assumes Paul makes up for his late start over the course of the season). Good luck this week.
-
Geezer has moved into the lead. Last year once, he got it, he dominated the rest of the year.
-
If I just had an outfield I'd really be competitive .....
-
Go elliott! Welcome to the game!
-
This is actually a way more competitive start for this league than we had last year.
-
Yes, let’s just hope I didn’t give up all the secrets
