There is now one team within 100 pts of another....Melissa has now fallen to within 100 pts of me. I expect to pass her today or tomorrow. It is interesting to look at the standings page and see her drop since her pitching maxed out....but she was a high flyer for a time (better than I can say).
-
I made an error yesterday, it is Stephen who is driving the league bus, not Paul.
-
6 weeks left and Paul is still in the drivers seat. No teams are within 100 of the team ahead of them, so things are starting to settle.
-
200 for Paul last night and there are no teams within 100 points of the team ahead of them.
-
I neglected to acknowledge that Sarah/JD passed Melissa WED night, but Melissa remains within 100.
-
Melissa is still within 100 of Stephan, and Sarah/JD are within 100 of Melissa...but Stephan is pulling away and Sarah/JD are closing in. Those are the only teams within 100 pts of each other. I focus on 100 points as it is reasonable that a 100 point or less lead could change in a day.
-
Stephan passed Melissa last night.
-
With 7 weeks to go, teams need to be within 7% of Stephen to have a chance to win (13,281). So that is only Paul and Larry.
-
Paul picked up 150 points over the last week, but Stephen is still the 30d leader and overall leader. With 7 weeks left, this is now a Strain intramural contest. Stephen looks strong, but Paul is making a push, and Larry still projects ahead of Paul. Melissa is 4th, 63 ahead of Stephan, who is 57 ahed of Sarah/JD. These are the only players within 100 points of each other, so at risk of changing this week. Jared continues to have the best hitters, but is only projected to play 1787 games.
-
$2 for Paul
-
Stephan passed Sarah/JD, and is very close to Melissa.
-
Paul passed go yesterday!
-
Paul passed Larry last night. Sarah/JD is closing in on Melissa and Stephan is closing in on Sarah/JD.
-
200 for Stephen
-
200 for Tyler
-
Paul has pulled within 100 points of Larry. I passed Brandon but we are within 100 points.
-
$2 for Paul!
-
Brandon passed Tyler yesterday in the pack.
-
Stephen has 13410 with 8 weeks left, so 12337 is still in contention .08 with 8 weeks left.
-
Stephen remains the 30d leader, but Larry was the 7d leader so the chase is on! Projections for the full season (with subtractions for teams that can't get to 162 at a position) are Stephen 18963, Larry 18573, Paul 1773, Stephan 17339, Brandon 17337, Sarah/JD 17264. The best hitting team is Jared. The best pitching team is JT.
-
There are 8 weeks left in the season, so if you have not played 106 games at a position (530 for OF), you will not get to 162 for the season (162-56=106). Paul, Tyler, Stephan, Larry, Stephen and Brandon all still have a chance to get 162 games at each position. Everyone does not, lead by JT who can only get to 162 at C, followed by Jared and Chloe who can only get there at C and 1B (Chloe is already at 162 for C).
-
$2 for Larry!
-
2 for Chloe yesterday!
-
3M crossed 1500 innings pitched yesterday.
-
Chloe is the first to max out a position. Her catchers have played 162g. Melissa will probably be next with her pitching.
-
I see JD agrees with my contention perspective...another blockbuster trade today.
-
TRADE DEADLINE REMINDER, as you can see on the home page, the trade deadline is midnight 8/31. Since we have a 48 hour review period, trades must be agreed by both sides by midnight 8/29, in order to process in time. Keep this in mind as we get closer. On the other, the power teams should be looking to make trades now in order to get more benefit from their new additions.
-
Stephen continues to lead this week. Using the 92% rule, the threshold for contention is now 11595, so Sarah/JD are just south of that line. Last week Larry, Stephan and Paul all made up ground on Stephen....but people really need to get going if they are going to catch him.
-
Today we have played 100/162 games so the season is 5/8ths complete. Stephen continues to lead the league, but Larry is a close 2nd in projected points (18.8K to 18.2K). With 10 weeks left in the season, I have a model for teams to catch up based on 1%/week. Given that model, this week teams need to have at least 10,761 to be in contention (91% of Stephen's score). Next week, the threshold will be 92%.
Melissa, Paul, Larry and Sarah/JD remain in contention. The rest are out by the model.
-
$2 for Larry!
-
There are only two fire sale players left, and I will keep one of the two for next year. Get your offers in now before they're gone!
-
After today's deals, there are still 5 players in my fire sale. take a look at my trade block!
-
if you want to make a championship run, the earlier you stock up in my fire sale, the more impact you can have on your final score!
-
Sarah/JD just got Brandon Crawford! Who's next?
-
The fire sale has started. Owners in the hunt please review my trade block before your competitors clean up my good players! Stephen just got JD Martinez!
-
I think my players heard my comments earlier today re: fire sale. Both hitters and pitchers are negative points today!
-
I am looking for young, quality, good contract SP in return.
-
After today, I consider my team eliminated from League contention, and side bet contention. All my valuable players are on the trade block. I want young talent in return. I am now playing for next year.
-
$2 for Brandon!
-
3M: remember in 10k races where someone starts out running like it's a mile, rather than 10K? They look really good for a while.....but then....
-
I might start a national petition to change the rules.....how can it be that I'm in second place but really in last place???

$2 for Stephen!
-
to be within 10% of our Stephen (and have a chance to win), you need 9529 coming out of the all-star break.
-
Was anyone else worried to see none of your players playing yesterday? Whew
-
Taking a moment to update everyone during the All Star Break. The leading hitters at this point in the season are Jared, Paul and Stephen. The leading pitchers are JT, Larry and Stephen. The leading scorers are Stephen, Paul and Melissa. The leading projected scorers are Stephen, Larry and Jared. Everyone remains in the 17K-18K projected range except Brandon, who is getting very close at 16989, Tyler, also getting close at 16848, and Melissa, who is not close at 16269.
-
Yesterday, Jakson Reetz, 25 y/o catcher for WSH, had his MLB debut with a double in his only AB. He is from the high school district (Norris) that Martin/Wenger live in.
-
200 point day for Paul and he breaks 10K!
-
anyone interested in Mackenzie Gore? The SDP top pitching prospect? If yes, DM me.
-
On an adjusted points basis, Larry is the current leader with 18,576, followed by Stephen (18383), then Jared (18,351). As before, everyone is in the 17K-18K range except Brandon (16911), Tyler (16702) and Melissa (16135). As mentioned, last week was the official halfway point (50% of the total games played), but many cite the 4th of July as the halfway mark, while others cite the All-Star break (which is next week). At any rate, there is a substantial amount of the season played.
-
I hope everyone had a good weekend! Paul extended his lead to 100+ and Sarah/JD did a roster overhaul, with Larry doing some roster tweaking and Melissa continued her relentless point accumulation. The top 5 teams remain quite close with Paul in the lead, followed by Stephen, Melissa, Sarah/JD and Larry. Less than 300 points separates these teams. Jared continues to have the best hitters (5.96/g) followed by Paul and Stephan. JT continues to have the best pitchers (5.97/i) with Larry and Stephen
