7 people like Sunday, March 19th for a auction/draft. We can continue to discuss the slow draft option but I want to get a date set for the regular one. I'll set it for 8pm EST for now but if you prefer a different time let me know.

I think slow auctions are good for 1st year leagues, but don't find it so appealing when rosters are more than half full already. In an established league like ours, I'd rather get it over with with an old-school auction (preferably as close to Opening Day as possible)

Hey league, I'll get the side pot paid out in the next couple days. (I've been traveling a lot) Side pot is based on total points prior to the playoffs. It was suggested 400, 275, 125, 75, 50, and 25. That worked for me and only one guy suggested otherwise so we'll go with that for this season. Keep a look out for messages so I send it to the proper PP.

hey all, looks like my shot at the playoffs is officially gone. willing to move any of my high priced assets or SP. as you can see by my roster, i don't really need more prospects, so looking for young MLB players that are cheap and have significant upside, or top tier prospects that will debut next year. good luck the rest of the way!

There is definitely some luck in the playoffs hence the side pot. Last year that went to the top 3 total point getters. 450, 300, 150 (12x75 = 900). I was suggesting that 4-6 should get a small cut for making the playoffs. Proposal A - 400, 250, 100, 75, 50, 25.

The reason for 2 pots is that total points leagues are sometimes anticlimactic and too many teams are selling off if they feel they can"t crack the top 3. Even the top 3 have to get ready for the playoffs and have a chance at some more money. The playoff pot is settled by Otto and it is $400, 150, & 75. That can't change.

Good stuff tonight all. Fun auction - I clearly undervalued the power of inflation when making my cuts.. Cup can you remind me how the Ottoneu payout works? Is that to top 3 finishers of playoffs? And your payouts are for top 6 playoffs? If so, I wouldn't mind seeing the top couple spots in regular season take home something more meaningful

Also, someone requested moving the trade vote to 24 hours rather than 48. Most leagues use 24 and that was an oversight cause we rushed this league a bit last year. So we will switch it to 24 unless someone has a problem with that. Just let me know.

Last year we just had 3 levels, 450, 300, 150. I think it's better if all 6 playoff teams get a cut.

Did we land on a live auction date? Is there a link to the external site we would be using? I'm just excited for baseball despite the fact MLB trying to screw this up for all of us and delay the season. You can only watch so many 90s and 2000s video clips alone in the dark.

The plan was to do a live auction via Otto site. Slow drafts are best for inaugural seasons IMO. However, if we can't find a date or if most guys prefer the slow draft we can.

As far as start time goes, most likely something in the 8-9pm EST range for week nights and potentially earlier if a weekend is preferred.
