May 18, 2025 2:25 PM : The Dodgers released Taylor on Sunday.
Analysis: Los Angeles will skip the DFA process and release the 34-year-old outright to free up roster space for the return of Tommy Edman (ankle) from the 10-day injured list. Taylor had been with the Dodgers since 2016 but couldn't find consistent playing time this season due to his ongoing struggles at the plate. He turned in a .598 OPS over 87 games in 2024 and slashed just .200/.200/.257 over 35 plate appearances this season.
