Woah that might be the worst start I’ve ever seen. JAGF is designating him for assignment.
-
Eeeee-yowch. What happened to him? He had a great start to last season but fell off pretty hard after August-ish.
-
JAGF, hell of a decision to park Houck on the bench tonight. Starts don't get much worse than that.

Get those lineups set, we've got baseball in a little over six hours!
-
Reminder that the draft is starting at 8 PM EST (in 7 minutes)!
-
Thanks to everyone who worked to make 3/12 work. And thanks to Urbina for coordinating everything! Happy drafting in three weeks.
-
Hi all, happy to announce that we've managed to work through all scheduling conflicts and set a date and time for our annual auction draft. Big thanks to everyone for being so responsive to the poll and my messages as we worked through the scheduling difficulties. If anyone has a problem with the current draft date, speak now or forever hold your peace!
-
Hey all, thanks for the last round of data! Unfortunately, there isn't a unanimous date, but we do have 5 good candidates with 9/10 or 8/10 responding owners available. I'll start making the rounds to see if there is anything we can do to resolve these no votes, either by fiddling with the start time or seeing if the owner can reschedule the conflict. Please be on the look out for inbox messages, and of course I will update once we have a winner. Thanks again for your patience and flexibility!
-
thanks to the 2/3 of owners who have now submitted their availability. I'll give it another day to let the last 4 submit something before we lock something in.

Please fill out ASAP and once we have a good sample size, we can pare this down to a short list and set a draft date.
-
Hi all, time to get started on scheduling the auction draft! I've created a Doodle poll and maxed out the 20 dates you are allowed in the unpaid version of the website, counting back from the Japan series starting 18 March. I've set 8 PM Eastern time as the standard but we may adjust a bit depending on each owner's time zone and availability. Finding a date that works for 12 different schedules is always a challenge, so please be as flexible as possible.

I met Kieboom's father once. Was the CEO of a company I used to work for and he came out to our plant and we were chatting for a solid half hour about what it was like to have two sons in the system. This was at the height of Carter's prospectus. He was a chill guy and it was a great chat.

Did my annual check-in on my brother's travel ball teammate. He's in the AAA Salt Lake City Bees infield with Carter Kieboom. In November 2020, there was a Carter Kieboom for Forrest Whitley trade in this league. Baseball is crazy. Two studs who both amounted to nothing.
-
With the recent signing announcement, I have simultaneously realized 1) I rostered Chad Kuhl from 2018-2021 in this league and 2) Chad Kuhl threw 50 relief innings for the ChiSox last season and started regularly on their AAA team. If only Cleveland would've signed him.
-
Welcome new owner, and thanks for renewing the team! You're entitled to a round of penalty free cuts to clean up the roster you inherited. Just make sure you do them all at once via the 'cut players' link accessible on your team homepage because if you do them in multiple batches, cap penalties will apply. Once that is sorted, we will get moving on gathering data on people's availability for the auction draft.

Quick update re: Pesky Bellhorns. We've reached out to him via every possible channel, including email and enlisting some IRL contacts to message him, but we can't get a response. We've given him a deadline of midnight tonight to reply before we mark the team abandoned. If it comes to this, we're confident that we can find a replacement quickly; it's a solid team that only underperformed due to not meeting the IP floor. Sorry this keeps dragging out but we will have something in motion by EOD.

Looking back at old draft results can really be hilarious. One of my first years I got into a bidding war with DJIB over Corey Luebke. I also remember scoring 2011 spring training HR leader Jake Fox for $1 and being elated over it. I'd like to think I've gotten better at this game since then, but I'm sure I'll look back at this roster in a few years and wonder how I ever kept some of these guys.
-
Kolby Allard, Vince Velasquez -- pretty confident the Guards are just trying to recreate the roster I had my first season in this league.
-
Thanks for renewing and getting your cuts in on time, everyone! DJIB and I are working on resolving things with the last outstanding owner. We've already established contact with PB and are hopeful he will be playing with us this season. Please stay tuned for an update!
-
Hey all, thanks for getting your renewals in so quickly. Pesky Bellhorns is our last member who still needs to renew, so if you know him in real life, please reach out to remind him to renew. Thanks in advance.
-
Hi all, I'm sure by now you've seen the banner on the league homepage regarding the upcoming deadline on 31 Jan. As a reminder, this is the deadline to both make trades/cuts and renew your team for the upcoming season. If you already plan to participate in the 2025 season, please renew ASAP to save DJIB and me the stress of tracking people down. Much appreciated and kudos to those of you who have already renewed!
-
Two trades processed in the last 24 hours and FIVE currently pending...The stove is hot!
-
Reminder to the final two teams, please complete your arbitration allocations by the end of today.
-
Reminder to everyone to get in their arbitration allotments -- deadline is in ten days, on 11/14

Welcome Tangletown to one of the original Ottoneu 4x4 leauges! Glad to have you.
-
Thanks for having me. Excited for the off-season
-
Looks like we've had a new owner claim Papi's team. Welcome Tangletown Studebakers!
-
Thanks for the two good years and advance notice, Papi! You'll be missed. For the rest of the league, if anyone else is thinking of abandoning, it would be great to know ASAP so we can have max time to find a replacement. Let us know either on the message board or in a message to DJIB or me. Thanks!
-
For everyone else, please message urbina or I if you have an owner interested in taking over BPMs team.
-
Thanks for letting us know BPM, still amazed you could keep up with that many leagues. Best of luck to you next year.
-
Hi Commish, wanted to say it's been a pleasure playing with all of you this season. Got way too many leagues and cannot maintain so many teams (time consuming and $$$). So I won't be renewing, some talent to attract new owner for next year so you should be able to quickly fill vacancy. have a good arb and a great future season! Thanks Commish for great work
-
Congrats AHWT, such a fun first season for us, looking forward to next year to try to chip away that gap between us.

-
Congrats AHWT, way to get ahead and stay ahead! Looking forward to the offseason.
-
It was certainly an odd year and unconventional win. The team somehow carried by Chris Sale returning to an unexpected Ace, Vlad JR being good again, Jarren Duran and seemingly every starter on my team just hitting 20 homers for some reason. Feels nice to pull one out since the 2018 rebuild started. Thanks for the congrats ya'll. looking forward to the off-season.
-
What's most impressive is winning with J-Rod 🤮 He helped that last stretch for sure, but combine that with how bad Riley was to start the season? That's good.
-
Great season, everyone! Big congrats to AHWT on his breakthrough win this year. Enjoy the playoffs and I'll be in touch shortly to gauge interest for 2025. For those who will be following on to next season, the offseason officially kicks off in around 2 weeks with arbitration.
-
Congratulations on the chip, Teix!
-
Have a good off-season, everyone. See y'all in Dec.
-
Oh. Well. Looks like we can't finish the league this year. Let's just pack up the bags, strike the record, and try it again in 7 months or so?
-
Hmm...now the Ramirez and Vargas auctions aren't ending.
-
Excellent! Thanks for sorting it out
-
Awesome, thanks!

My mistake -- he won at $23. There's even a record of the transaction.

Niv fixed it, Suzuki is on Escape Pod for $23.
-
Escape won the bidding with $26 -- could we just move Suzuki to his roster at that price?

I reached out to Niv to see if there's anything he can do/see on the back end.
-
...I don't know. The commish tools aren't setup to allow us to cancel ongoing options, so I don't think it's something Urbina or I did. I'd recommend restarting the auction and hope he doesn't hit 7 homers in the next two days.
-
What happened to the Seiya auction?
-
Geeze Louise the price on the prospects. Outrageous!
