To answer wOBA, the mid season draft is the opportunity to add MLB draftees to the MiLB roster, but it’s not limited to just the draftees. Any prospect that has signed and is not owned by a player is eligible. The order is reverse standings, whenever we start the draft (or like a day early)

Sorry to interrupt the draft, but as the new guys we have a question about the other MiLB draft after the MLB draft in July. Is the order the same as this draft? And are only those drafted in 2022 eligible?

Hey all, I’m ok with blue monk’s switch since it was not explicit in the charter but going forward I think it has to be clear that once you make a pick that’s it or else it does not set a good precedent.

The teams with less than 15 roster spots did not meet the IP/GP thresholds for roster spots. This is a measure designed to keep the Ottoneu 40-man roster as competitive as possible. We scrapped the rule for the first two years because of COVID and warming up to the format, but it has always been in the rules.
-
Y'all pretty much answered the questions, but I'll reiterate again. Yes, anyone with a single PA or 0.1 IP in the majors is ineligible for the MiLB draft. They must have signed with a team (no college players). International players that have signed since the last draft are eligible. At this point, any player for an MLB organization that is not owned is eligible. We made special dispensation for Jud Fabian last draft (he returned to college instead of signing with his drafted team).
-
Just went through the charter and want to point out hat any player who has at least 1 MLB PA or IP is NOT eligible for this draft, even if that player is currently in the minors.

I’ll let Luke rest. There are IP and GP thresholds to meet. Not hitting those costs MiLB roster spots. These are listed in the league charter.
-
Hey Luke, why do some teams have less than 15 total slots for their milb rosters?
