  1. Reminder that each team will need to pay Otto the $20 fee by Jan 31st. This is separate from league dues and goes to help support and maintain the site.
  2. The keeper deadline is Jan 31. No penalty free cuts will be allowed after the drop date. I also don't think you can complete trades between the drop date and the draft. GET YOUR CUTS IN!

• This is a real important step in keeping a league competitive, I hope everyone participates. If the commissioner would send out a reminder in a few weeks, that'd be great. This process can be painful too. I had over $20 added to a previously affordable share of Acuña last year in arbitration. Also, there are usually some really good articles on RotoGraphs about strategy for Ottoneu arbitration. I'm sure those are coming.

• Correct Fort Kent - make sure you expend all your allocation or none of it will count. I believe the most you can attribute to any one team is $3.

• James has taken over Stay North's team. I, and others in this league, have played in multiple leagues with James. He's not very good at fantasy baseball so go easy on him. Also, friendly reminder that arbitration begins Thursday and lasts 30 days. Make sure you understand the rules and timing. Most important reminder - you have to allocate all $25 or none of your allocations will count.

• If anyone has any Q's reach out. Also, remember that this is a year round league. There is a cut period after the season ends and an arbitration period! Read up on the process in the community forums... it's one of the most exciting parts of Otto!!

• Good morning all! Quick update and correction... There is NO minimum IP requirement for our league since it is 5x5. Failing to accumulate innings hurts a team in almost all of the counting stats so it is advantageous in most situations to play pitchers. The 560 IP hard cap IS in place though. If you are at 559 innings at the beginning of the day - all stats accumulated on the day you pass 560 are counted. Once you end the day with 560 IP stats do not accumulate further.

• Also, pitchers with the SP/RP designation do not earn stats if you you have them in a SP slot and they enter the game as a RP, and vice versa. So you can't stash a SP in an RP slot. If you have a pitcher in a RP slot they have to enter the game as a RP to earn stats.

• Hey guys - some of you are new to Otto so I want to make sure to point out some neat wrinkles. Positions are limited to 60 games played - you will not accumulate stats beyond 60 games. So if a guy isn't starting you probably want to make sure he's benched because if he comes into the game at all, it counts. Also, pitching is limited to 560 IP and you have to have a minimum of 460 IP. If you fall below 460 none of your pitching stats will count and those points are reallocated.
