Thanks!

A PSA: I've checked in on a couple of lineups and noticed a few teams have starting pitchers in RP slots or relievers in SP slots. A pitcher who is starting will not accrue any points if they are in an RP slot, and a reliever won't accrue any points if they are in an SP slot. Also, players in the minors will not accrue any points until they are added to a major league roster, so it's best to keep them on the bench or in a "minors" slot. If you have questions or need clarification, just

I see $5 in cap penalties for McMahon. Do you have the corresponding $5 in cap relief?
-

For those of you that didnβt catch it and are looking for help 2B or 1B, I cut Robinson Cano to clear some cap room. I had him at $15 salary and his league average is $16. He had cleared the 24-hour mark reducing his starting bid to $8. So heβs starting at 1/2 his worth for whoever wants to start the auction on him.

Good to know! Thanks!

I've seen several posts on the message board re: position limits. They only matter in leagues without playoffs as the regular season ends with the MLB regular season. Our playoffs start the first week of September so our regular season ends a few weeks before the MLB regular season. It would be nearly impossible to hit 162 games at any position with the regular season ending then. The only cap that applies during our regular season and playoff is the SP GS cap of 9.
-
Are you sure about that? The rule I found says this; "There is a 162 game maximum for all positional player positions, except for a 810 game maximum for OF. There is a 1500 inning maximum limit for pitchers, except in head-to-head leagues, which have no inning cap." That implies the limit just doesn't matter for pitching, right?
-
Positional game caps are not a factor in H2H points leagues that have playoffs.
-
Is there a game cap on positions? Does it reset in the playoffs or if we reach it and make playoffs we dont get stats for those spots?

To clarify on my last post: Because you are already holding that cap penalty, when you re-add the player it's basically at zero cost. You then recoup half again at the next cut. And so on and so forth.
-
To Docile Irish: Yes and no. You only get half of the player's salary back right away. You get the full amount back of (a) someone else picks them up or (b) you add them back after 30 days and cut again to recoup half of that remaining half. Repeat (b) as needed.
-
Question for Hermes: So, hypothetically, if you went $45 over the salary cap, you'd have to cut $90 in salary because you only get 50% salary relief when you cut a player?

A note re: Francisco Lindor's free agency. If you claim him within 24 hours of his release the minimum bid is $50. After 24 hours the minimum bid is half of that ($25). If you acquire a player that puts you over $400 you have to cut enough players to get back under, otherwise your lineup is frozen and you can't make any more transactions. Happy bidding.

A reminder for everyone to set their lineups. You can find the lineup tab on your team homepage. Lineups are set daily and positions lock 5 minutes before the start of each game.
