No bites from my group
-
I'm also out unless y'all can't find a replacement.

And I like the new person's moxie. "Worst to First". :)
-
Should only be Soler now. Spicy has been replaced.
-
I sent a note to my group, I’ll let you know if I get any bites. How many openings do we have?
-
For now, yes. We can always reopen that dialogue, but would rather do that with whoever the new owner/s will be either way.
-
I have a group I can ask, how many spots do we need to fill? I assume we’re sticking with the standard $20 fee, no prize money?
-
No luck with my buddies. I'm tapped on baseball fans to ask. :(
-
I'm thinking I was able to join in with my email then just paid ottoneu dues when the team needed to renew, but not sure.
-
Hey guys, I'm sorry to do this, but I don't think I'll be able to keep this team into next year. It's been fun putting a team together but it's just tough to keep track throughout the year. If another one of Jobu's friends wants in, that would be great to fill my spot.
-
I can take care of it. First, please make sure he has a Fangraphs account. I believe you have to do that before I can get them signed up. Once they've done that, let me know what the account name is and I should be able to look him up and send the invite.
-
My guy says he's in, who do I need to send his info to?
-
I reached out to 3 friends that are Braves and baseball fans. I'll let you know if I get a bite.
-
I've reached out to one guy that may be interested. No ottoneu experience so it will be a step up in fantasy for him but he's going to check out the league and let me know.
-
Just dropping a reminder here: we're missing a player, and arbitration has to be completed in a little over three weeks. If you guys know somebody who might be interested, now is the time. We don't want someone to miss arb or have only a couple days to do it.

It's unnerving to have almost exactly the same off-season outlook as last year. I have a full complement of above-average pitchers for somewhere in the neighborhood of $100. But I have no offense, and I have lots of money to go get it. I guess I goofed it last time, so I'm not sure how to not goof it again.

Good to see you're still here WPHGP! Don't sell yourself short. You've got a good foundation, and could take off with the right offseason. ;) Unless of course, you want to send Riley back to me on the cheap. LOL
-
I have not abandoned. I've been in the middle of a move for the past 2 months and was bad at checking before then. As long as y'all don't care that I'm likely to consistently finish bottom 2/3 I still enjoy the off-season/roster management. Just can't really do the daily or even weekly lineup checks consistently.
-
I brought Spicy in this year, and thought he'd participate a little more, but I know he got absolutely crushed by work. Would assume he's out. I'm on the fence myself, last I checked in I noted that I'd risen three spots without checking for a month, and am not sure I checked again after that. Let's say I'll play if I can't be replaced (and set a calendar notification to set my lineups next season) but if y'all have an extra guy for a spot, I'll give mine up.

Actually I take that back. I think arb probably starts in the next couple weeks. Would be nice to fill vacant spots before that so the new owners can allocate how they see fit. I'm going to count Spicy and WPHGP as abandoned unless they say otherwise. Anyone else planning to dip out before next season? Please let us know soon so we can find replacements if necessary.
-
Yeah, we'll probably need at least a couple replacements. I'm not exactly sure what the target dates are - it will probably appear at the top of the league screen in the next day or two. But generally I find it's a good idea to at least get the new owners in before arbitration starts and cuts are made. That way they can at least do a little work before decisions are made. So it doesn't have to be now, probably just over the next couple months to be on the lookout for new folks.
-
Thoroughly enjoy this league. I've played standard head-to-head with friends for years but this takes the strategy to an entirely different level. Generally good participation throughout the league at least until the trade deadline passed. That being said, anybody know if Spicy Meatball or We'll Probably Have Good Players just checked out on a bad season or if we need to find replacements? I'm guessing Spicy is out as a new guy to the league that hasn't checked in since May 15th.

Amazing race for 1st. Grats WOBA! I got stuck in "no man's land" in 3rd. 1000 points from 2nd, and 1000 from 4th. It made the last few weeks uneventful. Close race for 4th/5th too. Snitker was able to hold on after losing key players. KMDS made some good trades and came on strong. Can't wait until next year!
-
Congrats to WOBA on pulling it out in the last two days. That 200 point day Saturday was brutal. Final week pitching shenanigans did me in. Early week it was showing Sale, Ohtani, Singer, and Stroman starting on the final day so I adjusted to try to take advantage of the inning limit. Then they dropped as the week went on and only Sale threw. Oh well, best laid plans and such. As for Singer, I blame Matheny - who leaves a starter in for five home runs??
-
Congrats wOBA! Nearly 19000 points is no joke. JD, looks like you may have some nits to pick with Brady Singer for his 9/11 performance...
-
Another close race this year! Glad to be on the winning side this time. JD definitely gave it a good run down the stretch, I got pretty lucky with how my pitching lined up the last few days of the season.
-
Wow. Difference between 1st and 2nd down to only 6 points. Going to be a close race!
-
If I end up within 50ish points of first, I blame tonight's Royals/Twins game. Brady Singer - 4 2/3 IP, 7K = -33 points. How??? 5HR!!
-
Oh my, Google Chrome deleted my bookmarks somehow and I haven't checked this in roughly a month. Looks like I should keep doing nothing, as I rose from 10th to 6th since last login.

My price on Yelich is not as high if anyone's interested. I'm willing to make salary work with a loan if you want to trade me anyone useful and cheap.

If anyone wants Giancarlo Stanton for a less good but less expensive outfielder, hit me up. Please note his projected wRC+ is really good though, so I will be looking for a decent player in return.
-
With Pablo Lopez being traded today, I would like to reflect on my dumpster fire of a trade from 2 years ago. I traded Pablo Lopez and Trevor Story to WOBACompensating for Josh Donaldson and Jesus Luzardo (who I thought made the trade a win for me). I only added Pablo Lopez as filler to ensure that I got Luzardo. Since that trade, Lopez has scored nearly 800 points at 5+ P/IP, and I have cut both Donaldson and Luzardo. Lesson here, don't build trades around pitching prospects.
-
And Kennedy goes to the Phillies. FML.
-
This trade deadline has wrecked my RP. Hendricks went from sure fire closer to committee. Hand went from sure fire closer to who knows. Hudson went from sure fire holds to who knows. And the one closer I wanted to move teams, Kennedy, remains on a shitty team...
-
And bidding on a Brave. Unsurprisingly, there is a Braves premium paid around here. LOL
-
Wow, I did not intend to pay $7 for Touki, lol. Guess I gotta be ready for that when I bid high.
-
My chances of winning this league got carted off the field with Ronnie last night
-
I really need my OF to stop getting hurt
-
After missing a month and a half with a hip strain, Byron Buxton comes back and immediately gets his hand broken with a pitch. The baseball gods hate this man.
-
I would like to announce that I got 4 good innings from Kyle Muller. This essentially means that I have won fantasy baseball.
-
Two and a half seasons of going relatively cheap at SS while waiting on Wander FINALLY pays off!

My lead has been consistently shrinking and I'm starting to sweat. Byron Buxton please get healthy and save me.
-
Pitcher bench 719 (5.46 P/IP). That hurts a little, but it's mostly relievers, and my "starting" relievers have scored 843 (5.76 P/IP) which is even better.
-
351 points on my bench (1.91 P/G). Let's just say I don't feel bad about my bench producing too much. They super suck.
-
Thanks all. Sounds like I'm middle of the pack. Nothing worse than leaving points on your bench, but unlike Fantasy Football, picking the right people in fantasy baseball seems a little harder.
-
Mine is split almost exactly down the middle between pitchers and position players. I guess it sounds like I just kinda suck at both and also no one is healthy.
-
My position bench has scored just over 1,000 points, and my pitchers over 500. I guess I’ve just had healthy bench players this year (and forgot to set me lineup a time or 10)
-
Wow, didn't even know that they split them up. That was just position players. Total for me is 957. Seems like I'm better at picking pitchers to start, and less at position players.
-
Is that just position players, or whole roster? If it's whole roster, I've left 842 points on the bench.
-
Curious for those willing to share. I've "left" 720 points on my bench so far this year, and part of that is 17 HRs. I feel like I'm horrible at picking starters (when I have options not on the IL). Anyone willing to share where I rank?
