• It's also worth considering what any rule agains this would look like. While Tyreek was a top player headed into the season, he hasn't played like one, so how do we decide when a guy is "too good" to be dropped? It's a smart move on Marino's part. He couldn't find a suitor for a trade; there's no way he's going to carry a $125+ player playing at Tyreek's level into the 2025 season; and there's no benefit to riding it out for the last game of the season. The only logical play is to drop him and try to force some movement in the market. This isn't like a snake draft league where you have a priority free agent waiver order that could potentially see the top team in the league pick him up for the cost of a single bench player. If someone in playoff contention has $61+ and an open bench spot to be able to snap Tyreek up without impact to their roster, good on them for managing their team so well. If there's someone who wants to roll the dice, spend a bunch on Reek, but have to drop some good players in the process, so be it. Hard to imagine how/why we'd make something like this illegal.

• Yeah, I don't have strong feelings about it either way. At this point he can only be picked up via auction, so anyone who wants him can make a bid. If that requires the winning bidder to make choices about other players on their team because of the salary cap (thereby freeing those players up for others to pick up), that's kind of how this whole thing is meant to work. If Marino ends up picking up some players he can use next season, good on him. The nature of a dynasty league is that you're constantly balancing the long vs. short term.

• Since I wouldn't cut anyone needed to go after Hill, I should say keep him out. But Marino should get the chance to scoop up any players that are about to get cut. Chaos approved.

• I don't think it had malicious intent. Personally, I think it has the potential to cause chaos and I think it would be fun to see how the pieces fall. I have the potential of picking him up myself, and helping my own cause. However, commissioner hat on. I don't like the implications of how it could impact the playoffs. So I think it's fair for everyone, especially teams within the playoffs to have a voice. If people don't say anything or don't care, the cards can fall how they fall. My personal vote is to let chaos rain. However, I will abstain from voting myself. Because I agree with you and steeltown.

• Hill has been up for trade for about three weeks. I dropped him with the thought that the claiming team would in turn have to drop players that I would have the cap to pickup over almost every other team. Would Hill be a cap casualty in 25, he absolutely would be so why not try and get something for him instead of just cutting him in 25. This was not done to hurt or benefit any team in the playoff hunt. I caution making rule changes in season. This was not done to hurt any team only to possibly improve my team.

• I believe Hill should be disqualified from contention this year. As you mentioned, someone could easily drop three players and pick him up, which would create an unfair advantage for the rest of us. I understand why he made the move—to free up cap space and sign cheaper players for next year—but it raises a fairness issue. Perhaps we should consider implementing a 'can't-cut' date for star players or teams already out of playoff contention.

• All- Before anything happens with T. Hill- I wanted to get some clarity from all other owners. I personally don't agree with dropping a player that could sway the playoffs or the winner of the league after the trade deadline for no real apparent reason. Now it's within the rules of the otteneu, but I definitely think it's gray area behavior. Nothing against Marinos Revenge. I think it has the potential to cause chaos with drops which could help him and some other players for next year. But I wanted to get a vote from owners before he hits FA. I want to give you an example of what could happen. I could potentially cut 3 players who are hurt or not producing and pick him up. I don't think that's fair. Please everyone weigh in within the next 24 hours, and I'll make a decision based off the information provided by the league.
