• There are no salary cap rules during the off-season, as long as you are compliant before the new season. Which is why I am making sure that people are compliant on the last day of the current season. Carrying over an illegal roster into the off-season just because you don't have anything left to play for is a skirting of the rules. I understand that wasn't anyone's intent

• Just to be clear. This league has no special rules. As long as your team isn't red on January 1st (or more than a couple days after awuiring a guy prior to that and when your team is playing in a matchup), you are fine until the Keeper Deadline, just like we do in Ottoneu Baseball. So, during the offseason (starts January 1), you can rack up $1000 in salary, but must be under $400 + $1 for each open roster spot. Correct?

• Basically I thought claiming Thomas would be legal because I thought my cap would reset to $400 on Tuesday, after Week 16 and the playoffs ended, since the Ottoneu season doesn’t end until Wednesday, December 30. I thought the salary cap loans would reset on Tuesday and we would have a day to get our rosters in order until everything shut down on December 30 but Jaguars & Whippets let me know that would not happen.

• That was more a league all than a response to you KP. Someone claimed Thomas without fullying understanding this, and since this is year one and there are some people who are not used to otto rules, I decided to erase this action this time, as I have done for other people making small mistakes. The way that i can erase this given the commish tools I am given, means that there is one more day of Thomas as a waiver player.

• Any loans you made or are currently holding do not disappear until the season is over, aka when we enter the offseason. Your team must be legal entering the offseason, so they must be legal under whatever loans you have outstanding, not under the reset 400$ amount.

• To reiterate. If someone picks up a 90$ Thomas, they will have to clear whatever salary to get them under their CURRENT cap dollar and roster space, so that their roster is not red on the front page on 12/30.

• TL,DR, the Michael Thomas waiver was reset because I have no way of knowing who else had put a claim, if anyone, on him at 90$. The cap penalty is back on Long Beach Miners unless someone picks him up.

• I am waiting on clarification from Niv, but my plan, based on Odell's misunderstanding and this being the first time this occured for anyone, was to clear Thomas' salary off of his team, award Thomas to anyone else who claimed Thomas by the normal waiver claim rules, and if that did not occur to make Thomas a FA with a minimum bid of 45$, not 23$.

• For anyone wondering I read the league rules and thought the season loans ended on December 29 but the season ended on December 30 so I thought I’d have a day to get my roster in order. I was wrong and so I had to cut Thomas and a bunch of other guys.

• Additionally, any cuts that I have to force people to make to make their rosters legal before the offseason will also be under the same rules as an inseason cut, i.e. you have a cap penalty of half of the salary of the player cut.

• A reminder as Im seeing all these End of Season cuts. if your team was not legal as the league is switched from in-season to offseason (i.e. if your team is in red on Tuesday), I will force you to do cuts to get back to what would have been legal, as commish. On tuesday or Wednesday I will try to explain the arbitration and offseason to anyone new to Ottoneu. Great Season by all, and happy holidays.

• I just want to say something in my leagues. I'm committed to this league, I will be active. But I have been dealing with a ton of stuff lately and haven't really had the time or interest in sending out offers. I did update my trade block though.
