I just set LeagueSafe to make the payments: $76 to our co-commish and Bronze Medal winner, Hook aka Josh Gordon's Legal Team. $184 goes to our Silver Medal winner Ken, aka War Dogs, who ran into some serious bad luck in the finals. • On the topic of prize payouts: obviously we did things a little funkily last year due to the owners who didn't pay, so we can't go based on last year. The last evidence I have of discussion of the prize distribution was Hook saying the $600 would be split up $360/170/70. We should have $650 this year ($600 plus rollover $100 minus $50 for Timbo being a deadbeat), so the prizes will be the same ratios, $390/184/76. If you disagree, speak now or forever hold your peace.

• Has anybody heard from Timbo? He has 4 players on his team that aren't even playing this year, and looks like he hasn't made a move since last December. If he's not playing, we should find a replacement soon. I would assume a new owner would want to get in asap so they can auction some players.

• My bad, Kahunas. I thought you were talking about changing the rule. Hmm, now I'm wondering about this. Drew Brees had a fumble this week that the Saints recovered. As we can see from Mikey's matchup, Brees' scoring line went down as "25-44 228yds 1INT," with no mention of the fumble. Same with Crabtree last week and his line was "6rec 50yds." So it seems like ottoneu considers a fumble lost to be a "fumble" and a recovered fumble to be an event that never happened.

• Physics, you're taking this too seriously. But your response does make me wonder: what's the point of ottoneu football? This is actually a serious question for you folks who regularly play other kinds of fantasy football too. Is there something that makes it different (better)? Or is it just a different wrapper? As to "changing rules", I actually thought this was a recording error, not a different rule--the rules seem quite clear to me (as they are for interceptions, too). Is that how scoring has worked all year, that only fumbles lost count?

• Well that's silly, we've been playing with the same scoring rules all season and it's Week 12. We can't change the rules just because it hurt you this week. That's like saying that when a quarterback throws a good pass and it gets tipped, and then intercepted, we shouldn't count it because it's not fair that the receiver screwed up. It's not fair. Welcome to fantasy football.

• Yes, Denver recovered. But the rules say "fumbles", not "fumbles lost"--and that's the way it should be (at least in a fangraphs/ottoneu world): my player shouldn't get credit (or not penalized) for what his (real-world) teammate does. Whether Denver recovered the fumble affected the real game, but not Hillman's performance. He just got lucky.

• Mr Commissioner, please treat this as formal notification that Kahunas are protesting this week's game against Mikey. We all saw Hillman fumble last night, but his scoring line has not been appropriately debited. As we've seen, 2 points can make all the difference. You may consider this protest vacated if Tucker scores 6 points or more tonight. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
