• It looks like Wednesday October 5th, starting at 5pm PST / 8pm EST is the only time that works for everyone and even then we might have one or two that have to drop off early. Let's plan on that and hopefully everyone has time to block it out and it works for whoever joins.
  
  Yes, we are still looking for a replacement manager. I've posted in a few places and will re-up, but no luck so far. Feel free to refer others! Let's get someone locked in before the draft. Inazuma where'd you see that someone was looking?
  
  My apologies for not being clear or timely enough with the surveys. It was top of mind for me as I had initially suggested it in the forums and have found similar setups beneficial in other leagues, though none of them are categories. I thought it was implied that the initial survey concerned rule changes for this upcoming season. Personally I think roster decisions wouldn't be affected much and want to encourage the best teams to come out on top, one way or another, but I understand others feel differently. I'm certainly not suggesting we turn this into Pop-a-Shot at the carnival, though I do love a good Pop-a-Shot match and will welcome all challengers. Or if you want to come to the Bay and check out Hoodslam (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoodslam), that would also be a fun league outing. I am leaving the survey open until Saturday, though I'm guessing the voting will hold and this will be much ado about nothing.

• The number of divisions is different. That doesn’t change anything about how anyone is going to manage. But multiple matchups does. Also, this is basketball. Two teams play each other at a time. Multiple matchups is just weird. Triple threat matches and fatal 4 ways are only permissible in WWE

• I would consider quitting the league if we make this change right now. I don’t mean that as a threat. I like this league, but changing rules to B after people have put together a team based on the rules being A is a cardinal sin of fantasy sports to me. We all agree you can’t change rules midseason, right? Well, this is a keeper league so that extends into the off-season because we have keeper cuts and trade deadlines. The time to change rules is before cuts and trade deadlines

• We'll see how the voting shakes out. I am putting it up for a vote because most voted for it in the initial survey for this season, as mentioned in the followup email for that one. My own thinking has changed on it, so we'll see if others have to, but feel free to campaign away.

• I don't think this should be an option for 22/23. It changes the way one would mange their team and we already made cuts/trades based upon a different scoring system. Besides the day to day matchup issues, it includes set weekly lineups, which changes the way you value depth. If people want this (which I'll go on record as saying it doesn't make sense in a categories league, which Niv said himself), it shouldn't be implemented until next season so we can recalibrate our cuts/trades to suit it.

• Now that multiple matchups are a reality, here's a quick survey for it. I was leaning towards having multiple matchups but I'm not sure considering the impact on strategy since the same lineup plays in each matchup, the decisions might help in one but not another. Food for thought. Anyway, get those votes in!

• Thank you to everyone that renewed! I'm looking forward to another season. If you haven't noticed, there are two managers who haven't renewed. I've emailed them and am giving them the long weekend to respond, so if I haven't heard back by next Tuesday, then I'll mark the teams as abandoned and start looking for new managers. If anyone knows someone who would be interested, feel free to message me.

• Congrats to TheDirtyO for winning the inaugural NBA Twitter Slack Championship! It was a hard fought season by all. I know I enjoyed it a ton and hope everyone else did, too.
  
  The offseason is upon us! Please check out this thread from Niv in the forums: https://community.ottoneu.com/t/inaugural-season-complete/11730/11
  The TL;DR is:
  - arbitration is likely to be moved up to May 1 - June 1 from June 1 - July 1
  - a *SECOND* UTIL spot will be added for next season
  - he is reviewing schedule ideas. (I know a lot of you have mentioned wanting a six team playoff. The tradeoff there is the 'chip is played the last week of regular season when a lot of stars are sitting. This is also why we could still have transactions after *our* 'chip had been played)
  - salary increases have been made
  
  Lastly, please let me know ASAP if you think you won't return for next season.
