Howdy folks
Ottoneu has put a Games Started cap in as an option and I figured I'd make a poll to see if people wanted to switch to this.
Positives to the GS Cap:
I know some people didn't like the 2 daily SP slots because it meant you might miss a good start if you had 3-4 good pitchers start the same day.
Negatives:
It does cut down some of the thought of having to pick which pitchers you want to start the same day. Although this would still happen near the end of the week with the cap.

Big thing to note is you must put a dollar into everyone's team. If you don't do that, then none of your allocations get counted

So the creator said he could try to switch arbitration to Allocation instead of vote off if that's what the league prefers. It seems the vocal majority seems to prefer allocation so it probably doesn't hurt to see if he can but I know some have already done the voting off.

7) You can cut players for free after the vote off period off the offseason, so feel free to cut them if you think you can get them back for less in the draft. 8) I just discovered that H2H matchups will have 2 starting pitching slots per day, so keep that in mind: https://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/ottoneu-h2h-is-here/ 9) In blind auctions, the actual salary of the player is the second-highest bid + 1 dollar - not the highest bid.

Shit I messed up - I guess H2H doesn't have the two catching slots, so disregard that. Sorry. Okay a few more things that are in the rules/suggestions already but might be worth highlighting: 3) when you cut a player in season, you only get half his salary back in your budget 4) you can trade salary cap space 5) I'd suggest leaving 20-30 bucks for in-season free agency at least after the draft 6) salary data for SABR points is here: https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/averageValues?gameType=4

Actually H2H only has 1 Catcher slot

Weird the formatting messed up, sorry. Anyway a few more notes: 1) There are 2 starting catcher slots, but you only get 162 catcher games a year. The reason is because catchers tend to get a lot of days off, so you can start two on one night when you want. If you start two every night, though, you'll run out of catcher games in like August. 2) https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/support - scoring rules are here in case you couldn't find them. Hey kings, don't know if anyone else has played Ottoneu before, but just a few notes from my experience if it's helpful:
- The first draft will take a while because these are such big rosters to fill out, so have beer ready. Will be shorter in coming years when rosters are fuller.
- We can fill out some of our rosters with free agency auctions, but bidding for those is blind, so you don't want to fill your starting spots that way (you could get too many of one position by mistake). (1/2?)

I've been using the average draft on the draft site because I don't know how accurate the ones in the sheet are. Instead of Target 1, 2, 3, I use it to figure different auction strategies and players that fit that profile.
