Sometime in jan/Feb apparently
-
Do we know what date the keeper deadline is?
-
Per rules: there is no salary cap from the end of the MLB season until the keeper deadline.
-
Does anyone know when we need to cut players by to avoid cap penalties?
-
Cool increases were done. Only 4 of our teams are over the 400 max which is suprising.
-
The Itchy Pujols's trading block has been updated!
-
when's the arbitration deadline? i think it makes sense to hold off and see how things like free agency shake out

Guys, if you email Niv, please copy me on it (ben-dot-jedlovec-at-gmail). As Commish, I need to know what's going on.

Juan Uribe at $7 is a ridiculous steal. Right guys?
-
For my team i'll give you a clue. It would hurt me most if you arb vote for Clint Barmes. He is my secret weapon.
-
All my Arbs are in. Fun to vote them. I mixed up the young guns (Vote Trout!) and some aging veterans (like Berkman).
-
For positions it looks like they had to start 5 or play 10 games in 2011 to qualify in 2012
-
CleartheHurdle's trading block has been updated!

2012*

Do they update position elibigibility every year? For instance, Prado didn't play 2B this year but he did in 2010. Will he keep 2B eligible in 2011?
-
Did my best in arbitration voting. Try to atleast get started making the young stars less affordable.

I'll send an email to Niv to ask him. I have a friend willing to take over the team.
-
Can we get an owner for Gobias industries for this part of the season?
-
Slightly-Darker-Black Turtlenecks's trading block has been updated!
-
I made a couple of arb votes. I didn't think these players would be cut, so I thought it was safe.
-
Medium Reds Machine's trading block has been updated!
-
I made my first vote. But seems can't change them so best to wait till closer to see if anything changes.
-
Arb voting already started.
-
Congratulations to Medium Reds Machine on your league championship! I look forward to seeing what the 'off season' brings and playing with you all again next season.
-
Looks like hitter points did not work last night is explanation. Melonheads are missing 35 points of hitting also.
-
The standings for my team did not update at all. It still reflects my 9-26 score not the extra 81.1 I scored yesterday so I have a message into NIV. I want those points.
-
5HRs out of 8 guys playing has me in good position.
-
3 HR by Prince Fielder gives me a pretty strong hold on 3rd place. Nice! Damnit, if I maxed out my games I could've won this thing.
-
yeah that was killer. as well as the now 4 HRs sitting on my bench tonight

If I win it by <20 remember that Matt Joyce home run hit off Rafael Soriano.
-
3 HRs so far tonight... all on the bench! should have checked the starting lineups pregame.

Correction I'm throwing 8 hitters tonight and 4 tommorow. I am going to manage to max out 162 and 1500 across the board..
-
My projection has it about 30 points if you take into account the fact that I'm down to only 3 or so hitters on the last day as I'm going to hit 162 on most every position tonight. I'll give myself a 5% edge at best.
-
If Javier Vazquez and Derek Lowe pitch well for me tonight, tomorrow will be an exciting race to the finish!

I am expecting about 65 more points from my pitching staff. That means I need to make up 60-65 points offensively. Not a great chance, but there's certainly enough variance in there to make it happen.

By not using my innings, with my current avg, I have missed out on a possible 750+ more points.
-
I think every team gets one player voted to arb. So even if not everyone votes everyone loses one.
-
Since I am out of the running for this year, I can't wait to see what happens during the Arbitration period. Will anyone not vote to have a player put back in the pool?
-
I still think you have a 50-point edge based on the average. That's certainly something a team can make up in one night, let alone three. I don't have another Felix start, but I do have Cliff Lee and Javier Vazquez. Should be fun!

@Melonheads It is just about dead even after last night. The trend favors you but I'm more in the club house. Basically a coin flip now.
-
i rotated way to much. got a lot of poor production on a lot of innings. add a couple injuries and i'm a sad fantasy owner

I need 288 points. 50 more IP at 5.3 P/IP is 265. This is going to be fun.

I have rarely rotated pitchers and have stayed almost exactly in line for 1500 IP all season.

For what it's worth, I just let my starters play for the first half, then in the final 2-3 months started rotating position players. I'm on target to hit the Games limits, except at MI.

I'll use my IP and games for 1B, but fall short and some cases well short of available games. Will have to do better next year.
-
@Phillies, Thanks
-
@Phillies Looks like I'm going to use all IP and games (maybe 1-2 games). It took very aggresive switching and deep bench to do it.
-
The calendar is under Reports -> Calendar. Arbitration period is basically the month of October. Keeper deadline is mid-February
-
When is the arbitration period when you can vote for a player to be placed back in the draft pool?
-
Thanks Itchy. Do we know when the keeper deadlines will be? Is the only time a cut player doesn't count against the cap, when you cut up to 2 players after the keeper deadline?
