! player movement

Another question -- in the past have we allowed cuts of injured players before the draft? I'd really like to recoup half of Severino's salary before the draft rather than after.
-
Okay, we're keeping the draft as is! See you all Saturday at 6pm EST!
-
I vote for keeping the draft date/time as is

Daytime would be hard; would definitely depend on the day. If we're keeping it soon, I guess my preference would be keeping it as we have it.
-
If we do move it I'm okay with daytime as well
-
I'd be on board for a daytime draft, but I also agree that these are such a pain to coordinate that it might just be best to leave it as is.
-
+1 for daytime draft
-
Works for me too. I’ll be drafting based on perceived viral resilience.
-
Also we can start making boredom trades once the auction is over!
-
I could go either way, but we might as well get this done while we have everyone locked in(side). I feel like this should inspire some good team names...?
-
I'd agree with going ahead with the draft. I suppose I'm open to changing to a daytime draft, since I'm working from home for the next few weeks now. But I'm also content to go ahead as planned.
-
i'd vote to keep as is. agreed that it's unlikely for anything to change, except for anyone without a clear spot on a major league roster.
-
drafts are a PITA to schedule and it's not like anyone has a helluva lot else going on right now. player valuations shouldn't change much (at all? maybe a little for injured guys). y'all really going to be more inclined to sit around and do this after things ease up and you can leave your homes? feels like a good quarantine activity, one man's opinion.
-
I tend to agree. Who knows when the season will even begin. May be smart to wait until we have more information.
-
With *looks around at everything*, are we drafting at the scheduled time? Just figured I would throw it out to everyone- my initial inclination would be no, as we don't know how long the season will stay postponed for, but open to counters.

I should be fine as well

Should be good with me, thanks!

Alright, I've booked us for 21 March at 6pm ET. Robert and Doron, let us know how flexible you need this to be to make it work.
-
21st would probably work better for me as well at this point, if it works for others
-
Mentioned to Kris that I should be able to make either of those dates work. The 21st is a bit better for me, but I can do the 29th (this Saturday) as well if that's what everyone prefers.
-
I just voted apologies for the delay
-
If you haven’t voted on your availability in the Doodle, let’s get those in. So far most common available times appear to be Sat 29 Feb 6pm, or Sat 21 Mar 6pm. Doron (only no vote!) and non-voters: could we make one of those work?
-
I'll throw out that after 9pm would also work for me (in fact it would work much better than any of the other proposed times b/c my kids would be asleep)
-
whoa whoa whoa I'm not that old when I say morning I mean like 10-11 ET
-
Historically the issue with mornings is that west-coasters have objected to getting up at 5am on weekends for a draft, but I have no objections personally. It also looks like we can probably narrow down the options to one of the first three Sundays in March.
-
yeah I'm old as hell I'd like to +1 that weekend mornings thought
-
Throwing this out there, I'd also be interested in weekend MORNING times for the auction, if that gives us some additional options.
-
Spring training has arrived, so let's find a day and time for a draft! Here's a link to a doodle with possible times. As usual, these times are EST and should be considered at least a little flexible (e.g., if you can make 6:30, but not 6, that's totally fine -- we should be able to adjust around people's schedules). https://doodle.com/poll/dithd328e6qw82tg
-
If no one objects, I would like to cut Kevin Newman. Thanks!

Oh right. Yeah post your additional cuts and Dave or I can commish cut them.
-
Cool, thanks guys. Sorry about that!
-
Should we just post here if we decide to make additional cuts since rosters are locked?

No complaints here

A four-time league champ gets a little leeway for something like this, IMO.
-
Fine by me

Yes, sounds good

Let’s just extend cuts for everyone until midnight tonight. That work?
-
No problem with me either
-
No issue here.
-
Well, shit. Does anyone mind if I make my cuts today? I moved this month and I managed to set my roster organizer but it slipped my mind to make the cuts yesterday.
-
Did everyone get their cuts done? Floresiensis...?
-
Jettison complete! Lord help me if I get the wrong draft date in my head again this year....

I just don't know if we'll be able to get the physicals done in that short amount of time. What if I need a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews?
-
Folks: I've shortened the trade wait period from 48 hours to 24 hours. No big impact in the off-season but it could help move things along in-season for owners considering whether they'd get an extra start from a SP or something along those lines. Let me know if there are any objections!
-
Insane amount of trade activity for NOVEMBER 18th. Love it!

Looks like everyone has assigned their dollars but if you want to make any changes, today is the last day! Make sure you've assigned them all or they won't count. Trade season opens up tomorrow!
-
I want to allocate my $, but it feels so wrong to be putting a buck on Lance Lynn. It makes this whole endeavor feel like a sham.
-
One week left for assigning your dollars! Use them all or none will count!
