And Foul Pole Assassins are first on the board! Stop the count!
-
Fresh standings alert! 12-way tie! Good luck everyone!
-
Draft starts in 10! Here's a link to a Google Meet if anyone wants to do a video hangout during the draft! https://meet.google.com/rvr-djvr-agf
-
Reminder: our draft is Saturday at 8pm eastern time!
-
BASEBALL IS BACK!
-
Okay! I'm setting the draft for March 26th at 8pm eastern time! Now we just wait and hope the league and MLBPA can work it out sooner rather than later...
-
Drafting on the 26th may be the best option given everyone's time constraints on the 27th. Do we have anyone who couldn't make an 8pm draft on Saturday the 26th?
-
8pm would probably be too late for a work night for me, unfortunately :(. 7pm even is pushing it. If people are wanting to do 8pm, could we at least do a weekend, like the 26th for example?
-
I've had a few requests for a slightly later draft time due to bedtime responsibilities for several of the dads among us. Would an 8pm EST start time be too late for others?
-
Okay! The draft will be the night of March 27th! Thanks to you all for responding to the Doodle. I'll be getting in touch with a few of you individually before we lock in the exact start time, but expect around 6 or 7pm Eastern Time.
-
So far we're 10 for 10 on Sunday March 27th, so that's looking like the day (with Saturday the 26th as a backup).
-
need to rescind my march 20th eligibility. unfortunately, resubmitting the doodle does not wipe those dates from my cal. sorry about that.
-
It's looking like the nights of March 20th, 26th, and 27th are the finalists for draft time. If you haven't voted yet, please do so when you get a chance so we can nail one of those down.

Here's the link to the Draft time Doodle again: https://doodle.com/poll/rmznu6t3gy4sfmqg?utm_source=poll&utm_medium=link

Alright! Looks like all teams are legal and we're ready to settle in for the pre-draft snooze portion of the offseason. Do people want to schedule a draft date now or wait until we have some CBA clarity before we lock anything in?
-
Get those cuts in before midnight east coast time! And reminder that any players traded today will remain on your roster since the trade will go through after the deadline.
-
Remember to get those cuts done by tomorrow night! Don't be like me that one year where I totally forgot and had to shamefully petition the league to let me make cuts the day after the deadline.
-
DO make sure your team is paid up so it doesn’t get marked as abandoned tonight!
-
Why would I cut Trout when I've gotten TONS of trade interest on him? Tons, I say!!!
-
Reminder that you do NOT have to make cuts by midnight tonight. Take that pause from your Valentine's Day 11:59pm activities and cut that $81 Trout.
-
Can't wait to tell the wife I can't observe Valentine's Day this year; I'll have last-minute fantasy baseball drops to sweat over!
-
Just want to flag that the keep/cut deadline has been pushed back from the end of Jan to mid-Feb due to the continued lockout. Keep an eye on the banner at the top of the page for updates since it could get pushed back further if this continues...
-
I expect to trade Scherzer in the next day or two. I've talked to a bunch of you about him already, so just want to post publicly so nobody feels blindsided by it.
-
Woah! Christmas blockbuster!
-
The Bubba Starling and AJ Cole players union doesn’t have the pull it used to have
-
Just thought I'd observe that UZR Friendly has never had a player strike or owner lockout in its entire history. The stove has been lit longer than a damn Olympic torch!
-
Thanks all! Looking forward to the new season!
-
Welcome, Brian! And good bye Mike! Thanks for handling that, Kris.
-
Nice to have you aboard Brian!
-
Awesome! Welcome, Brian. I (Royals fan) won't hold the Cardinals fandom against you....yet.

Alright, Brian is up and running as the new owner of the Skinny team! A Cardinals fan, PA native, and master of puns!

Looks like Teoscar Hernandez should be adjusted to $17 not $1

Wanderwall's $22 of arb are now applied as well. Standby for the last $3... and then we'll be all set.
-
I've adjusted salaries for Skinny's allocations. Looks like the last one got cut off in the previous message; it was $3 to Tatis.
-
They will write poems about your generosity
-
Ok I’ve got a taker for the team. And just to show my willingness to work across the aisle, he’s a Cardinals fan.
-
Lastly, Wanderwall: please come up with $3 more you'd like to allocate to the $22 you already had tagged and we can get your $25 locked in as well.
-
If there are any objections to this, please raise them.
We're in the market for a new owner now, as well. Dave and I have put out a few feelers to potential interested parties, but if you have someone in mind who would be a very active participant, feel free to invite them and we'll go with our best/first/most eager respondent.

Ok, some updates: Skinny's team is going to have an ownership change. Mike, one of the league's original owners, is hanging up his virtual cleats. I asked him to complete arbitration allocations before he left so that we can keep prices moving for league health and he sent me his allocations. I figured it would be easier for him to do it than it would be for a new owner unfamiliar with this set-up. His increases, which I'll adjust manually are:
-
It looks like Wonderwall completed $22 of the $25, but none counted since it was $3 short. Add $3 more to the partial list that is in the Arb Results page and we can manually complete it. Skinny needs a full slate of $25.
-
If you were unable to allocate all of your arb dollars before the deadline, please contact me or Dave and we can get it sorted out. Unused dollars only help the strongest teams hang on to players longer, so for the sake of a balanced league, let's get those dollars in the system.
-
Just a few more days to go for arbitration. Use all your dollars or none will count!
-
Looks like half of the league has allocated their arbitration dollars. Get those dollars assigned!
-
Yeah, last day of the season used to be peak Remember Some Guys around here - the pool of eligible players included anyone who had stats from 2006 on, which lead to some great auctions (Julio Franco! Terry Mulholland!!). Sadly, they did away with that feature, and I think a player has to have accrued stats within the last two seasons to be in the Ottoneu FA pool. So the weirdest thing you can get away with these days is Fernando Rodney, CC Sabathia, or Jason Vargas (if you're a true sicko)
-
Am I misremembering, or didn't we used to have the ability to roster old/retired players? I swear I remember someone adding Barry Bonds back in like ~2012.

Dodgers, Braves, Astros, and Red Sox? Well, I guess the highlight of my baseball month will be assigning arbitration dollars...
