My thinking on this is that Votto is a really good piece, but he's older and has more immediate value. I am weak at 1B and need one, and I'm definitely playing for this year. I don't know what you think about Jon Gray, but he's got potential and is at an affordable price and he's finally out of Colorado. If you're not interested in Gray, I could also do Calhoun, Rios, Karinchak, or Yandy Diaz instead.
