January 14, 2021 8:21 PM : Givens signed a one-year, $4.05 million contract with the Rockies on Thursday, to avoid arbitration, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
Analysis: Givens was traded to Colorado in the middle of the 2020 season. He struggled in a very small sample with the team, surrendering seven earned runs and four long balls across 9.1 frames. Givens has 21 career saves -- one of which came during the 2020 campaign -- and he could hold the closer role at some point during 2021.
