Very true
-
Correct. Also keep in mind that you do NOT need to have 2 catchers in your line up/roster in order to fulfill rule 1A: "Each team should maintain during the regular season a roster of 22 major-league players that can fill out a starting lineup." 1 catcher will suffice for this requirement. https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/rules
-
So you can have 2 starting catchers but with like all positions in ottoneu baseball you get a certain amount of games that can be played for the year . 160 for catcher and that’s split between the 2 . Once you go over that you no longer accrue points . When you click on your team page and scroll to the bottom it actually keeps track for you so you can keep up with it
-
Yes. You can have two catchers starting. You will accrue stats for both. I was trying to find exact documentation of this, but I could not. But this is how it has been form my experience.
-
I'm an ottoneu newbie, but I'm 95% sure that if you have 2 catchers in your lineup, both will accrue stats and count toward your GP.
-
I don't see a way to upload a team photo, so I'll just share this here. Are you intimidated now??? You should be!

Going to start the draft in 5 minutes, will start even if not all are present
-
Sounds great. Looking for ward to it. Thanks!
-
Reminder: the draft will begin next Sunday at 1 pm EST. I'm planning on having built in a couple of breaks. I was thinking 10 minutes at about pick 150 and a longer break around pick 300.
Looking forward to it!

The only other weekend dates that work for me are February 24th (Saturday) or March 17th (Saturday). I’d be willing to move it, but only if everyone agreed.

Says the draft is March 25th at 1 pm

Yeah is there any way we could try to figure out an earlier date that works than what's currently scheduled? Got an itch, you guys, and the only cure is an auction
-
When are we drafting?

Hi, life long Phillies fan. Started playing fantasy baseball way back in the day when I was kid with other friends from school (mid-90's) mostly because our real life team sucked. Took a break from it during high school and college (wasn't the best way to make friends...haha), but have been back at it in various formats for the last decade. Always played in keeper leagues, always 5x5 (including a couple of Ottoneu leagues). This is my first try at FG Points, so I am looking forward to it!
-
General baseball fan but my loyalties lie with the BoSox. I live south of Boston and do IT work for a group of beer wholesalers. Been big into the fantasy game for about a decade, but I've only ever done Yahoo. Addicted to Draft Kings. Looking forward to the intensity of Ottoneu.
-
Live in Orlando and I work in the restaurant industry as a manager. Moved here from Philly and yes an Eagles fan. started in Ottoneu last year came in 5th place decided to join a second league this year
-
alm beach Florida manager for the beloved WAWA,playing fantasy sports for about 8 years now . 2nd year in ottoneu . Leaving it till the end cause they are an embarrassment but I’m a die hard south Florida sports fan !
-
Huge fan of all Boston sports. I am from Massachusetts and work for the same beer distributor previously mentioned. I am entering into my third year of a dynasty league and my loyalties are ALWAYS for sale.
-
Diehard steelers and pirates fan living just outside of atlanta ga. This will be my first year in while I wont get to go to pirates spring training. I am a high school teacher and basketball coach. I play a ton of DFS baseball(fanduel). I was in a season long league last year and enjoyed. However, I was looking for something more. I have also got back in to collecting baseball cards again. SO far Ottoneu has been extremely fun to me.
-
Cubs fan living in St. Louis. Attorney during the day, mock drafter at night. First time trying Ottoneu, but I have an active 14-team dynasty league entering its 6th year. My dynasty league already values prospects in the top 25-50, but I'm really looking forward to going deeper into MILB. Also, auction and salary cap will be new for me.

Network Eng. from Greenville, SC. Big Yankee fan, named after The Iron Horse Lou).. I'm a baseball geek with expansive experimentation leagues on Flea flicker which has a great clean interface.. first year on Otto and already loving joined this league and one other $50 with experienced owners. Already experiencing having to flip Trout @ $77 and Sale @ $55 in order to rebuild and contend

Ken Griffey Jr fan from outside Boston, baseball guy, I do product dev for a company that makes medical apps. Had to do Ottoneu after Yahoo! announced their sub-par, two-Ohtani Ohtani rule. Madness. Pretty freaking stoked to get started, even for non-Ohtanis
-
Red Sox fan from Massachusetts. Work in the beer distribution industry. I've got a couple of keeper leagues going, but nothing close to as expansive as Ottoneu, so I'm pretty excited.
I'm pretty sure Mike Trout is going to bust this year, so if I were you guys, I wouldn't pay more than $5 for him...

Will make the switch to daily and March 25th.
Cheers
-
I am all for daily as well
-
i just think daily fits the most likely personality and knowledge of everyone here. Even if there are first time ottoneu. Lets become seasoned quicker daily.. Just my thinking but i respect the commish setup no matter.

add me to list that prefer daily as well
-
Would also prefer daily
-
I’d prefer daily lineups
-
would there be any objection to dailiy lineups or is that a big caveat already here?
-
March 25th will work for me!
-
As long as it’s that far out I’m open to anything
-
Current consensus is to switch over to March 25th at 1 pm to account for the length of the full auction draft.
-
Sorry I’m late to join what are we thinking for draft date and time
-
any time we have mentioned works for me.
-
I would be fine with a feb draft as well, if anyone objects to 3/25
-
If there are no objections through the next 24 hours, I'll make the switch.
-
25th works for me. I'd also do weekend day in February
