Mr. Lebowski is [injured], yes.'s trade block has been updated!
-
The argument is not about inglorious specifically, FWIW, he will not be subject to any penalties as no additional penalties were in place. Hypothetically if someone ran their team to 60 (without IL) I could
See that being frustrating for rest of league

The rules state "...they will face penalties at the discretion of their league's commissioner." I'm simply stating that in no way has anyone taken advantage of this time to the detriment of the league and therefore nothing should be done.
-
The rules for locking teams , we can’t even remove its in-built to Ottoneu
BeachBoys on

So we would be getting rid of the rule because this rule is already in place.

Yes, Cheese, yes. I don't see the issue here. Ottoneu has a hefty penalty already in place...I'm not understanding this at all.
-
Or we leave it alone because it's a non-issue. Lol I mean if someone seriously went out and added 20 $1 players even if they waited until the reg season, he's still put himself in a $20 hole (min) after he makes drops to get back to 40. That's on top of not being able to do anything with his roster, see other rosters, make trades. There's a number of things already in place to deter teams from taking advantage of going over. Adding a rule would be silly IMO.
-
I would suggest once league mentioned someone is acting extreme owner has 24 hours to make cuts. If not penalties are enforced

I don’t want to set any specific limits , personally , but similar to collusion, if the league feels someone is acting extreme in this manner , we should have extreme penalties. Cutting all players that were added and adding a 10$ cap penalty to most expensive player. Any other ideas are welcome

I'm not attempting to strategically hoard players at the moment, but we may as well use this innocent example to set the terms moving forward so someone doesn't win 20 auctions before seasons end to sit on trade bait and maximize chance of windfall type moves. We either acknowledge and allow this, giving us all a chance to out bid said player. Or we outright deny it, and force cuts in reverse order as they were added to maintain legal standing after a certain amount of time.
-
I think it's a decent rule to follow in the spring before the season starts. I don't think penalties should be made just owners dropping players. Somebody could win a bunch of auctions in a row and sit on 50 players or so for Spring Training waiting out injuries, position battles, etc. Then cut right before the season starts. It could be an advantage. I'm not saying anybody here would do that to that extreme, but I've seen things similar in other leagues. Anyway just throwing it out there.

Surely it's a non-issue. You're already penalized pretty damn harshly by not being able to do absolutely anything in terms of team management or viewing of others rosters, nothing.
-
Doesn't bother me at all, except that I can't tell if he doesn't want my trade or doesn't want to cut anybody lol.
-
Sorry, I echo JUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuust a bit outside and Pratt.
-
I echo Clogging and Pratt. Not being able to trade, set a lineup, etc. is the penalty for not having a valid lineup.
-
Personally, I'm fine with the someone having an invalid roster for as long as they want, as the locking of the team prevents them from doing anything and forces them to set a legal lineup
-
The season hasn't started yet and roster lock is already a pretty hefty penalty. Not sure I see the issue.
-
Any new rules discussed or voted on now will not be enforced until start of this years regular season, appreciate any feedback.

An issue was raised to me about invalid rosters for lengthy periods of time:
“ At no time should a team willingly go over roster and salary cap limits. If a team knowingly does this, they will face penalties at the discretion of their league's commissioner.”
I was not planning on penalizing this as the roster lock in itself is natural incentive to cut players (maybe except for Spring training). Opening the discussion on if league members think any additional rules are desired here

I approved the trade. Pratt is certainly getting a ton back and filling his most obvious holes, but he's also giving up 4 Top 20 prospects (Jeremy Jeffress is the Nick Punto of this deal).

I’ve said my peace.

Let’s not start throwing accusations around. You’re all free to veto. This was done in good faith.

Pratt definitely isn’t running two teams. Think it’s a slippery slope to no fun no trade league if we start vetoing selling

Is this a joke? I'm obviously going to trade for the positions I'm weak at
-
Fisher you r getting screwed and don’t realize it. Pratt puts money into every position but 2b, rp, and catcher. This new team has exactly what he needs? That’s just perfect.

Seems legit to me. Similar to the trade last year of arenado, harper and $100+ for a couple prospects. Do I think these guys could've possibly gotten better returns if played differently, sure. But that in itself isn't reason to veto

You’re all free to vote as you’d like. I’ll be approving, we’re all free to start buying and selling now. There’s no reason folks have to wait until mid season to see how it plays out

Wtf is your issue? This is literally how a dynasty league works

Bullshit! Why am I not surprised by that response? Rest of the league you need to step up and veto this trade to protect the integrity of this league.

I have no issues, he got significant number of quality prospects. If he didn’t think he could compete , the timing of the buy and sell makes no difference. Looks like a legitimate trade to me.
