Sundays work, but I work until 3pm EST. so if we could shift it say an hour later I could definitely make it
-
This is obviously tentative. But I'd also like to get it locked up as soon as possible. Please let me know if this date doesn't work. Thanks!
-
I tentatively set the draft date for Sunday, 3/16 at 3:00 EST. We have managers spanning from the west coast to Europe, so I think a weekend is our only option. I thought a 3:00 start would be the most accommodating for the different time zones.

Enjoyed competing against you, Midget. We will miss you
-
Best of luck to all of you, and hopefully the next owner will further improve the league even more!! Thanks again for a great time!
-
While I don't feel by any stretch that I was not actively involved, I think the league is definately growing into one that will demand time and effort that I just can't give right now.
-
All, I just wanted to thank everyone for making this such a great league. I've had a lot of fun the last two years, but am going to abandon my team for the sake of someone who may be able to devote more time.

Im in the market for another SP
-
I'd move paxton but not walker for price. todays moves were kinda puzzling in that they were definitely not"win now" moves. i think they will wait for next season for the next big move.

I think they need to sign another bat but I don't think trading for Price makes much sense. Hang on to Walker
-
But the natural follow-up question regarding the Mariners are, what should they do now so they will be a contender?

But that's probably my experience in soccer, where you do not write like this long-term contracts with players who are over 30 years old, which makes me think that this type of contract is illogical.

I understand the logic of "that's the price you pay to get them When They are In Their Prime." But it is the arrangement of it. Why not, for example 5-year, $ 180 million. ...

I think that even the Mariners know that at the end of the deal that Cano won't be worth the money, but right now he is worth it. Some teams currently have overpaid players but that's the price you pay to get them when they are in their prime
-
I do not understand the logic of it. It's not that he's not a good player, but the age and length of contract.

Cano is +30, 10-year, $240 million.

still hoping for my Jays. pipe dream maybe but it makes allot of sense if they are serious about committing to winning.

Would he really go to the Mariners? My guess is that he goes to a winning team for a lesser price. But there is no telling who that team will be
-
But the big question is, which team takes Cano?

Thanks for your thoughts. I think Fister fit well in the Nats. He is a personal favorite. Nats will have an interesting bunch of SP's, but what about Ellsbury to Yanks, Morneau to Rockies & Salty to Marlins?

Johnson to the A's was solid, they have a lot of injury prone players, so if things work out, great, if not, he will be something they can move midseason, maybe move him at that point either way. Mcann perfect match, Fister was straight up theft.
-
McCan looks to be one of the best signs thus far based on need. And Fister to the Nats is ridiculous. Were they looking to move him that bad?
-
Here we go again, what do you think of Johnson to the A's, Fister to Nats, Mccan to Yanks and Pierzynski to the Red Sox? Feel free to take up other players to the discussion.
