MW has said they'll make the cuts by EOD
-
Hey Miami, any thoughts on how long we let the cut deadline go?
-
Hi all, Woodpeckers missed the cut deadline so I'm allowing penalty free cuts, please just let us know who you would like to cut
-
Keeper and Renewal deadline today!
-
Friendly reminder on the upcoming renewal (and trade!) deadline in ~3 weeks.. Renewing your team is not required before the 31st, but signals you plan to return for next year.. I haven't heard of any drop-outs, and most everyone seems to be active here which is a good sign, so no need to confirm you're returning for 2023 other than renewing early if you would like, but if you're on the fence about 2023, please let me know ASAP.. thanks!
-
Big Bucks getting paid out. Good to see teams signing these guys, wish more clubs were involved though.

Coupons fully allocated, thanks!
-
JJ has $2 to reapply (Nola wasn't arbed, so that was invalid, fixing soon) otherwise all other arbitration coupons have been applied! thanks all
-
Thanks everyone for completing Arbitration! If your team earned arb coupons, you can submit them at the link at the end of this post. Let's try to have all coupons in by EOD Thursday (11/17) to proceed with the offseason. As a reminder, prior to offseason trading in the trading period, teams must reduce their salary to $450 or less, and their roster to 40 or less, so please do this before discussing trades / updating your block. Friendly reminder Arbitration is due next Monday (a week from today).. looks like we're halfway complete so far, thanks
-
Congrats to both Carp and Miami on a fun finish to the season! Fun year even though I again find myself in the cellar group haha.
Hopefully things will have calmed down a bit for me by the start of next season, but I'm looking forward to an active offseason from everyone and to another competitive year next year!
-
Fun season everyone and great job to the top 3 for fantastic roster management. Hopefully my "rebuild" only lasts this season and I will be competitive again next year.

Thanks! Razor thin margins, what a sweat.. I'll wrap things up with an end of season e-mail soon, but echo everything Carp said, such a great league here and i'm already looking forward to next season! good luck to your respective MLB allegiances in the playoffs, and arb begins in 10 days!! ahhhhhh
-
With the final out recorded, congrats to Miami for a fantastic finish!!
-
Good luck to you as well Miami! Those 6 runs in the 1st would have have done a little damage lol. This really is the best league I'm in, great engagement from all 12 teams. This should be a fun offseason as well.
-
Good luck Carp and everyone in this final slate of games! just comes down to baseball now.. been a thrill of a season and a heck of a sprint to the finish line here.. Carp - i've already stepped on the Davis Martin land mine for you, but if you pass/tie me today you'll certainly have earned it!
-
Hopefully I can provide some drama this afternoon, not liking my chances but crazier things have happened.
-
Thanks to everybody for another good year, and kudos to Miami and Carp in particular for monster seasons! It looks like there's still plenty at stake still during these final few hours...
-
What a frantic fun deadline day!! Be very interesting to see what the Nats look like in a couple years. Braves, Padres, Dodgers should be fun to watch down the stretch in the NL.
-
I feel bad for those of you holding former SD prospects. They are all now pretty much worthless. Wash has not shown the ability to develop players in recent times, i.e. Robles and Kieboom etc..

PSA site was down this morning but is working again now
-
Thanks seams, Iโll get it fixed soon
-
The Brennen Davis cut was a mistake. Contacting the Commish now. Sorry guys.
-
Happy opening day!
-
Happy opening day everybody!! Year 5, where does the time go. Thanks to everyone for making this such a great league, and good luck this season!
-
all fixed on robertson! good to go
-
My bad on the Robertson auction. I saw your message about being able to start auctions and noticed he was available, so I rocked and fired.
-
also just noticed there's an ongoing David Robertson auction, but I picked him up in auction, so he's already on my roster.. ignore that auction - i don't have anything i can do to cancel it, so i will correct after it completes
-
hey folks, i have (hopefully) imported everyone from our auction draft, we're now officially in the preseason! thanks for a fun draft, and i'm glad we had positive feedback on the draft, will definitely have it as a strong option for next year.. please review your rosters and let me know if you see any discrepancies, everything gets imported from a CSV so there shouldn't be any fat-finger errors, but just let me know
-
If you want to discuss trades or start auctions on non-drafted players, Iโm ok with starting all that now (if the system lets ya ๐)
-
Will import later today, sorry for the hold up
-
I think weโre wrapping up?? Will give till EOD to start any more auctions and then import in the next day or two, thanks! Hope you all enjoyed
-
Please ignore the Suarez auction it was an accident, Iโll reverse it after it completes
-
Good morning! I have now started the slow draft, you may begin nominating players for auction. please let me know if you have any questions, and good luck!!
-
Draft room is loaded.. we'll begin at noon eastern tomorrow. each team gets one nomination on Monday, and then on Tuesday teams will get two active nominations. Thanks!
-
Just sent reminders across the league to join the slow draft room so we can start around noon on monday. I'll probably be annoying here and in DM's/E-mail until we get started and everyone gets into the routine of the draft room, I just don't want people missing out or anything. Also, for nominations, I've read it's good for teams to have 2 nominations at once (24 auctions going) so after monday, we'll go to 2 nominations per team to keep the draft moving along... can't wait!
-
I'm all signed up and ready to go. I've never done a slow draft so this will be a fun experience. Looking forward to Monday!
-
Slow draft it is! e-mail sent just now, but linking the draft room here: https://www.couchmanagers.com/auctions/?auction_id=147 (Password: SB2022).. and yeah, that sucks about Tatis, seems to have been made even worse by the lockout preventing him from getting surgery much earlier
-
What a total bummer regarding Tatis Jr. Baseball better when best are playing... Sad face emoji
-
Sending an e-mail, poll is here as well: https://forms.gle/Vr3agjaLPYjmSRNw7
-
I should mention for the group in the meantime, live draft would be late march at the earliest, possibly the weekend in april before opening day, otherwise slow draft which I would estimate we start in mid/late-March or so (slack says slow draft shouldn't take more than a week for a redraft).. so don't fear a draft starting tomorrow or anything
-
Rather than a poll tonight, sent a few DMs out just to ask those with potential conflicts on their availability.. if you get a message please try to reply back as soon as possible so I can get options out to the group.. taking one final look for a live draft. thanks!!
-
Happy day!! 162 games, full 9 inning doubleheaders, no more ghost runner. Let's go!!
-
"If, by some miracle, opening day is 4/7" lol well, well, well, baseball's back!! we've got 28 days to figure out a draft.. i'll send a final poll tonight
-
After revisiting the poll, 3/24 late night doesn't really seem like the best option at this point. If, by some miracle, opening day is 4/7, 3/24 would be our only live draft option, but slow draft might be the move this year. I believe we'll have more flexibility if drafting Mid-April becomes an option, so I plan to revisit once we get more lockout clarity, we'll have at least 21 days to pick something once they finally agree to terms, so i'm not sweating it, just please keep an eye out in here!
-
Hey everyone, I'll send a poll either today or tomorrow. Thursday nights are the only weeknight that work for us, so I'll gauge interest for 3/24, 3/31, and our now-available weekend of 4/2-4/3. I'm of the opinion that we shouldn't draft while the lockout is ongoing (no transactions / no opening day set), and i can't say i'm 100% (or even 75%) confident opening day is only delayed a week, but also providing scheduling certainty for 12 people is important so wanna be mindful of that. thanks
-
Thursday 3/24 at 9pm EST works for me. Now that we have an extra week or so, stupid lockout, I'm open to pushing it a few days. If everyone is good with the 24th then I think we should lock that in though.
-
3/24, 9pm in what time zone? Sorry, first couple days at the new job have been busy. I should be able to make whatever work
-
Draft Update (1/2): The only (not best, only) night that seems to work for everyone is Thursday, 3/24, as people (myself included) have some vacation time coming up. I'll leave names out of it but we also have multiple managers with kids on the way around this time (!!!) so also trying to best plan around that. Looks like folks are mostly flexibile on slow vs. live draft and lockout timing, so I wanted to ask if there are any teams with opposition on 3/24 @ 9PM
