• Happy sort of opening day, everyone - good luck this season! Panda, my main reaction to the trade was surprise to see 2 teams right at the salary cap make a deal that didn't cover its own cost with a loan. The loan part of this league is one of the things I'm excited about, but will also be an interesting adjustment from other leagues I've played in.

• Trade Veto Philosophy - Vetoing a trade in this system seems really odd given all of the factors at play. I can't imagine teams intentionally killing their team across both the short and long-run. For me, I can't imagine a veto absent real evidence of collusion.

• Commish, in order to have the option of drafting at 7p or 7:30p, you'll have to change the official start time. If not evveryone's present, then just pause until they are. But I don't know if it will let you draft before 8p if that's still the scheduled time.

• Just looking at the doodle....and spit-balling... Is there a reason Wednesday the 29th isn't listed? Also, my hunch is that AM and early afternoon are non-starters but maybe that's not true (I'm pretty free on Mon & Wed all day). Is 10pm at night an option for folks?

• 1. agree more Friday = better, 2. if there is a time that works for most and not me I'll try to have a proxy ready or do what I can, 3. I'm pretty flexible (beyond Saturday afternoon thru Sunday afternoon, sorry - family bdays) for personal availability, 4. perhaps we can even do an hour or two here or there if needed afterwards, 5. hopefully chat during draft can help resolve and people can be on their game at draft to minimize lost time

• I know this isn't a perfect solution for all, but I'm concerned about only auctioning for 2 hours (8-10) on Friday, because that will leave a large percentage of the auction to be completed at times when a smaller contingent of the league has said they can be present. Would love to hear the group's feedback.

• If you are an owner who won't be able to be present for part of those times, one suggestion is to head over to the Ottoneu Slack page and see if someone is willing/able to be a proxy for you for part of the auction (I can add a proxy as a 2nd owner on your team just for the auction, then remove them). Or, you could plan to be aggressive during the times you're able to participate and make most of your purchases then to build our team.

• My sense is that - unfortunately - we're in a situation where we're going to have extend the auction to some times that aren't perfect for everyone. Here's my suggestion - we plan to start at 7:30pm ET on Friday, and plan to go until 11:00 or 11:30pm. Then, based on the current Doodle poll results, we finish the auction starting at 8pm on Thursday, 30 March (though this could change if the other 4 owners vote).

• Regarding 7pm vs 8pm: Do we have the flexibility to adjust the start time as it occurs? In other words, if people start logging on after 7pm, can we start at 7:30 if everyone is verified as being there? This probably doesn't get us starting at 7PM but maybe it does mean a pre-8 start.

• 7:00 p.m. is really tough for me. If it's just a length thing, then I would humbly request keeping it at 8 since that seems to be OK with most everyone. Every fantasy auction I've ever participated in has been at least 2.5 hours if not longer, so 3-4 hours should be fine. I do agree that splitting it up into two pieces since we're talking 7-8 is wise.

• I'll highly suggest that we start at 7:00p edt if at all possible. 3 hours that first night will be taxing, but if we don't go for that long right off the bat, we'll be left with 4+ hours the second draft. And we're running out of time before the season starts... Colonel, could you make it work?
