A reminder that all teams must be roster compliant by end of season- just a notice to teams that may start clocking out from updating rosters as the season ends. Any team that goes over the cap or roster limit at the end of the season will have a couple of days to get compliant or the addition that caused the overage will be removed. I believe last year we settled on a week, if that arises we'll post on the board to get fixed asap so arbitration goes smoothly.

Raunch Angle with a 14 point swing to go from mid-table to 2nd place is one wild night! Standings are moving all over the place on a daily basis- wildly competitive start to the season with a quarter of the way down!

**REMINDER- DRAFT IS TONIGHT AT 8PM EST**
The draft site has had issues for people using Chrome- the recommended fix is to use Safari or you can use Chrome in Incognito mode.

Now that cuts are over- on to the draft!
Currently we have four teams good with Monday the 4th- please let us know ASAP if that date isn't going to work. It looks like March 3rd, that Sunday, would be the backup plan. I'd like to get this on the books sooner rather than later so owners with multiple teams can mark that date off with other leagues.

For transparency- Rolls Royce email over a list of cuts immediately after the deadline. This occurred in another league we are both in, though I'm not commissioner in that league. I am going to make these cuts no charge, if there are serious objections to this please make them heard. As the other league commish put it- Not wanting to make a habit out of making exceptions, and if there is enough backlash I am open to suggestions on a resolution.

**LAST DAY FOR CUTS AND TRADES**
Get in all cuts and trades by midnight EST- we only have two teams that are not yet in a legal roster state, but they've visited the site today and yesterday so I have confidence it will all get done in time.
**I've tentatively set the draft day and time as Monday, March 4, 2024 8:00 PM EST**
If this date/time is going to be an issue, please post on the board ASAP

**CONCERING THE DRAFT**
Due to some international travel with a player, the draft will need to be handled BEFORE March 5th. The MLB season begins March 20th- the ideal is always as close to the start of the season as possible, but with the 5th - 20th being unavailable would the 3rd or 4th of March work for people? Please respond on the board so we can get some ideas of when folks are available.

**REMINDER THAT WED IS LAST DAY TO ACCEPT TRADES AND MAKE CUTS**
To be clear- if you accept a player in a trade that you intend to cut, then the trade and cut needs to be processed by midnight Wed. So if you accept a trade on Tues or Wed you will not be able to cut that player without penalty.

**KEEPER DEADLINE AND RENEWALS ARE DUE**
Jan 31 is the keeper deadline and you must renew your team by that date or it will be marked abandoned by the system. Get trade blocks updated for some last minute trading, and we'll work on the draft date after the deadline.

On a rules note, it sounds like illegal roster rules discussion comes down to waiting a week before reaching out. We'll make that a bylaw if there are no objections.

I think 2 days is harsh. I think a week and commissioners should try to reach out to the team before cutting a player.

My preferred actions if the team is still in an illegal state after 48hrs is to cut the last player(s) added until the team becomes legal. In instances where it's a 60 day IL becoming active, we would still remove the last added player via auction. Via auction so as to not distort any players that came in via trade. Any thoughts? Objections or suggestions?

One thing I'd like to bring up from another league for us to decide on this offseason- how to handle a team that goes over roster/cap limits for an extended period of time. Open to discussions and we can work on how we want to word it, but I feel the offending team should have 48hrs to fix the roster. This gives time for any trades or IL designations to go through that a team might be counting on.
