How about this instead: rather than a loan back, I send you Medlen and Beachy. If you choose to cut them both, it costs only a few more bucks than the loan you had originally proposed. And you have the option of not cutting them - one or both might have reasonable keeper value at their current salaries. In exchange for that keeper option I'd like Santana, who IMO is just an innings-eater, but I'm in need of innings at this point. :)
