Release the Kraken! 🦑's trade block has been updated!

Yeah, the action is great. I guess it will all shake out by 1/31.
-
Yes. Agree. Happy for the active league.
-
While I can appreciate the active ownership, I agree with you Rizz. There appears to be just trading for fun of it and no actual direction. I hope your trading with a plan or direction in mind. At some point, you can't make three trades every day(unless it's to my team..lol). I am glad we have an active group though.
-
I must admit that I officially don’t know what Kraken is doing.

Don’t hit the Kraken pipe so hard. They are good but there are lots of questions still. Definitely not a shoo in.
-
Matt Carpenter is available for pitching.

Nova, McHugh, and Duda available. Looking for SP and RP. Gonna be fun!
-
The playoffs are a crapshoot anyway. Anyone could win. But I do think the Yanks are supremely well positioned to win the division.
-
And you just named 2-3 teams with arguably better SP in the AL. Indians, Red Sox, and Astros. So, welcome to the AL Playoffs. Good luck.
-
The lineup is grand. No doubt. But Judge struggled a ton in the second half. Salvaged himself in the playoffs a little. The SP is good, but Severino has to duplicate himself. Tanaka is good. Sonny Gray is...okay? Jordan Montgomery is a back end starter.I repeat: bullpens are extremely volatile. Baseball seasons are wrecked by December bullpen hype. And again...the up the middle defense (C, SS, 2b, and CF) just isn't good....regardless of Sanchez's throwing arm.
-
Whose rotation is better in the AL? Tampa perhaps, Cleveland definitely, and the Astros. Maybe Boston if everyone is healthy. But the Yankees' pen is better than all but Cleveland, and look at this lineup: Gardner-Judge-Stanton-Sanchez-Didi-Hicks-Bird-Headley-Torres. This team may score 1000 runs.
-
Stanton does have to stay healthy all year and Judge needs to be the first half Judge. You could certainly do a lot better than that rotation. There is not enough there to lock down other teams in the playoff’s. They will be good but not a lock.
-
I can't believe that hes still only 28
-
And can we have a moment of silence for Starlin Castro? He gets traded to the Yankees after toiling for years on average to bad Cubs' teams. Then the Cubs win the WS. Now? Gets traded by the Yankees to the Marlins just as the Yankees are preparing to do the same.
-
Right...Clint Frazier. I forget about that dude. Well...then...that won't take any extra beer. Yankees saving money everywhere!
-
Clint!
-
What GM is Cashman going to get drunk enough to deal Todd Frazier for SP?
-
I doubt they’re done, though. My guess is that Frazier, who is now pretty blocked, gets moved for a SP.
-
And then...Aaron Boone is the manager. There's a lot to love with the 2018 Yankees, but there's also some dark corners that need to be exposed.
-
Sanchez has improved his framing. I wouldn't go as far as saying he's elite. His ability to block pitches in the dirt is a big problem. Nonetheless, the Yankees are a 90+ win team. No doubt. (they were proj. 89 prior to the deal). They'll win/compete for the AL East title and make the October tournament and then...what happens. I still think defense will matter sometime this season. I believe bullpens are volatile and shouldn't be trusted.
-
The Yanks will be fine. You could do worse than a Sevy/Tanaka/Gray/Gumby/Adams rotation. The bullpen is solid. Torres is ready. Sanchez is an elite framer, and Hicks, Judge, and Stanton all are average or above defensively. This is a 95 win team, I think.
-
1. I'm definitely not moving Stanton this off season. 2. The Stanton signing doesn't solve the Yankees problem...who's pitching? who's playing defense? Does the bullpen hold it together? I'm sold that the Yankees will hit a ton of homers. Not sold that this fixes their problems. Harper will be a Cub.

I think Harper stays with the Nats. Scott Boros has always worked well with them. If they don’t unjuice the ball it will be 150.
-
Don't forget about Sanchez, who has 48 HR over his last 162 games. Between those 3 guys, they will hit 135 home runs.
-
Pham you are Wong's trade block has been updated!
-
What is the record for most back to back home runs by two players in one season? If Stanton and Judge bat 3rd and 4th they should shatter it.
-
Is Harper almost certainly going to the Dodgers next year now?
-
Every team that wants Harper, Machado, etc. rejoiced.
-
Looking like Stanton to NYY

Ohtani: The most underpaid guy in Hollywood!
-
Assuming Ohtani is as good as everyone seems to think he is. I saw an Alex Cobb comp on the arm and a Josh Reddick comp on the bat, at least resultswise.
-
Maybe Trout will make the playoffs as a member of the Angels after all.

Dee Gordon to CF smacks of Tony Womack.

I would deal Davis or Reddick for a good starting pitcher.
