  • I think contributor for prospects are pretty normal. This is just happening a little earlier than normal, I’ve had 9 different players hit the IL this season and not going to be a contender. Tatis at his salary isn’t in my ‘26 plans, Naylor is consistent but the scoring for a 1b isn’t top tier. Getting a 21 yr old former top prospect $12 is going to be expensive and throw in 2 other t100.

  • That response is concerning because I merely suggested the trade was arbitrary and I think the stats would back that up? Anyone else feel this way?

  • This comment also seems arbitrary. If there are competitive balance concerns, that's serious and I'd love to know more. If it just seems frivolous, well, frivolity is a matter of taste I guess. Let me know if you have serious qualms.

  • Less than a week until the season starts. For those not on the Slack group, we are making predictions on what we think will happen this season. We did this last year and failed miserably (Jeff won with 4/12 correct guesses). This year we are upping the ante, for those playing, the person with the most correct predictions will get their $20 Ottoneu fee paid for by the person with the least number of correct guesses (tie breaker is final Ottoneu standing).

  • A very hearty and official CONGRATULATIONS to Kyle (Give 'em the Heater, Ricky) for taking the crown this year! I've known Kyle for a long time and I can tell you that he was very intentional and tried extremely hard to make this happen this year. It was cool to see the groundwork he laid pay off and give me, at least, hope that we all have a chance to create a plan, execute it, and see the reward. Good job, Kyle!
