Welcome Connor! Good to have ya here. I imagine the wheelin' and dealin' will ramp up now as the cut deadline approaches.
-
Hey Everyone, name's Conner thanks for the invite. Ill have a block up shortly to see if theres is any interest backlogged from previous management then Ill trim it up. looking forward to it.
-
Yes on the arbs. No time or energy to deal with such.
-
I think that I've found someone interested in taking over the vacant Groove is Andujar team but he needs a password to claim the team. Does anyone know what it is?

Can we assume that some arbs didn’t get done and that’s ok? Happy holidays yall.

Hey everyone, sorry I didn’t do my arbs on time. I have a whole ass personal family shitshow that’s been going on for a bit now. I’m hoping things clear up by this weekend, and I promise I’ll look at rosters without checking the results when I assign $$$. I haven’t logged in at all until I saw this email. Hope that’s cool. Cheers

Ok -- there will be some more arbs applied manually as it were. I'll contact Blotto Otto to get his arbs. Groove is Andujar still has no owner, so we will enter arbs for that team. If you are interested in doing some of the arbitrations for that team, let us know! Otherwise, the Papi and I will take care of them.
-
Welcome, Trevor, & good luck!
-
Hi all,
My name is Trevor and I am the new owner of The Musial Suspects. Looking forward to 2022 and am excited to meet everyone
-
Hi Again, ok, Groove is Andujar has also given up the ghost. So, 2 teams now available, however I've already started receiving enquiries from potential owners.
-
Hi All. The Musial Suspects team has been abandoned. Looking for a new owner.
-
A great season to be sure, after the deprivations of 2020, and we had a good finish to our pennant race, and now we have playoffs to entertain us in the real world. Thanks to all for being part of it. Landing in 4th as I did, that's actually a rung below kissing your sister, and if I had a manager to fire I would do it. Alas, can't terminate my own dumb ass. Looking forward to adding salary to all your players though - see you in the arbs!
-
Almost pulled it off...congrats to Ben, thanks to all for a fun season. Go Sox!

Arbitration starts in a mere 9 days, so be sure to start thinking about your allocations. Pleasure playing with you all again this year and looking forward very much to next season!
-
Well the 2021 Timmy season came down to the wire in quite a battle between the two dominant second half teams. Hearty congratulations to Ben for prevailing in the end and holding off quite a charge from Jason's squad, which steamrolled it's way into contention after a slow start. So congrats to Yaz for the second place finish and to Vafa for a fine showing and convincing win of the final money spot.
-
Hoping that watching Charlie Morton will calm my nerves and ease the nausea. In any case congratulations to Vafa on securing 3d place and I hope everyone enjoys the drama as it unfolds.

Using the “scheduled follower” feature for the first time today! Are there any others than McHugh who get this?

Let's bash Trevor Bauer instead. Would anybody be interested in trading me a beat-up old hat or perhaps a plug of tobacco for him?

Yaz bashing: bad. Learning new slang: good.

Somebody who wants a young talented outfielder should offer me a stud starting pitcher who’s too expensive for next year. So I can beat Yaz. Also just learning that “raking”is either when you are super handsome or your spray chart looks like a lawn rake 🤷🏽♂️

oh dear something's gone wrong again. i should check my team more often instead of larking about. i honestly thought for once i had the yaz cats dead / buried and now . . . so sad.
-
dude, your team is doing great, why are you feeling sick? i suggest a nice cup of peppermint tea, maybe with a little honey. my team will still beat your team's ass in the end, but you still have a small chance of ending up in the money. enjoy the ride!
-
If by "fun", you mean that special combination of nausea/indigestion/diarrhea...then, yes. I'm having butt loads of "fun" this year, DC. Thanks for asking
-
Anyone else having fun this season? I'm really rather enjoying it. Not the injuries of course, which seem worse than ever. Nor the controversies. But the baseball part of it. And as we hit the halfway point here, I think we could be looking at a decent pennant race in this league. cheers
-
Never responded to a trade offer I sent a few weeks ago, IIRC.
-
Just wondering if anyone has heard from Utley. His lineup hasn't really changed all year(injured/benched players starting and whatnot) and he hasn't been responsive to messages.
-
i do two adjustments. one is just called adj ttl and that's column R. That adjusts for pitching. I pegged everyone at 475 innings. Oppo leads there but the race is tightening. I also adjusted for hitting. So, Column P shows new totals with both innings pitched and games played evened out-- i pegged everyone to 580 GPs. I consider the adj adj standings less valid since I'm not in first there.
-
dudes, a certain member of this league asked to see the adjusted standings. I uploaded a file to Drive -- which really seems to be having a problem with the file, i don't know why. let me know if you have trouble accessing. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lufrOdM1drZdTklfunr4O0H7rgfFkLo0/edit#gid=407155144

I think I'm going to give The Hornets a "Well played, sir" on that little round robin. I appreciate that Walt was ready with the transactions to follow the Trout pickup and knew exactly what he was about. Everyone should be able to field a major league team though, so minus 10 points for Griffindoor there. But it's not too egregious for a 12th place team in this case and it's *sort of* almost a full lineup. So, ok. Of course, I'm going to win it all this year. (maybe)

1 minute away from the Trout landing! So exciting.
-
very exciting here at timmy central, awaiting the results of the trout sweepstakes. will it be ? or surprise team x? or possibly. ? just minutes away..... unless i've screwed up the time zone thing again.
-
"Blotto Oppo." Love it.
-
Nice job Davey, we can call it a "Blotto Oppo" now

lol. yes, i did, actually, "pull a blotto otto" and draft the completely wrong person. multi-tasking caused that. so dumb!
-
baffling particularly because you're a braves guy, mr. otto!
-
Lol @ me for winning the auction for the wrong Ynoa. Thank goodness I couldn’t have afforded the correct Ynoa anyway.

You're welcome, btw, on Cedric Mullins. Next time I like a player I'm going to both: a) start an auction and 2) actually bid on him. Here are adjusted standings- Adjusted for innings pitched that is-- I pegged everyone at 67 innings: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pfNV8cKwZ8usRiUWmySof_sJFMPItl4n/view?usp=sharing
-
Okay, draft set as ended.
-
I think the draft is still open. To end it, I think a commish can go to "Commissioner Tools" > "Manage Owners" and select "done with draft" for everyone.
-
Hey league, Ill only be around for the first 15-20 minutes of the auction, have my baseball semi final today. But with my roster and budget situation I probably wasn’t getting anyone at auction anyways haha!

Yeah I still like the 6th. & I now have my other Ought-To-Know draft on the 7th. That particular weekend does seem to be the default draft time. Last year I had three drafts in three days, March 7, 8 & 9.
-
6th good for me, but later fine too. (I feel very strongly about that.)

Yeah, I thought the 6th was good, usually around when we draft in this league. I also like having some time between the draft and opening day to maneuver.
-
6th works for me
-
The sooner we draft, the sooner we can make trades. So I’d be in favor of keeping it where it is on the 6th.

I'm open to considering other dates. I don't like to draft *too* close to opening day, because after the draft teams still have maneuvering to do, and that means a bunch of slow drafts, and it can take awhile for things to shake out. (Season starts April 1 this year btw). There's also our Yahoo league draft, which is always closer to the season. I will discuss with the Papi. Others are welcome to chime in with their thoughts.
-
I'm available on the 6th, but that gives our guys almost a month to get injured before the start of the season. Is there a downside to pushing it closer to opening day?
-
that draft time is good for ratboi
