  • They do, but it can freak people out. I remember one year we drafted late and Maeda got shelled, for like 12 runs in his first start that year, and no one would touch him. He went on to have an ERA under three, I believe, but it can mess up your plans. Anyway, March 1st is better for me.

  • March 1st is fine for me but if it was the 29th wouldn’t the stats already earned just load on the site for each player? That’s the way it works on espn.

  • I don’t think it’s a great outcome to miss the first 3 or 4 days of the MLB season and not count stats for those games. I’d propose a slow draft if there are no times everyone can make prior to the start of the season. Or barring that, maybe consider Sat 3/15 if I was the only person who wasn’t able to make that date. I only have a few roster spots to fill, I’d rather miss the draft entirely than miss several days’ worth of stats.

  • And any chance I can make a different Saturday would probably require starting no earlier than 4, maybe even 5 ET. My schedule is weird: the only day of the week early afternoon doesn't work for me is Saturday.
