Just wanted to put a reminder out for others still in the league to respond if they're in for 2025 if they have not already. Please respond by December 31/January 1. Thanks!
-
Ive been busy over here at the end of the year, but am down for a 2025 season.
-
I'm in for next year
-
Realistically, if we don't hear from the nine active owners by the end of the year, it's not a good sign for continuing into 2025. So far, we have three with myself, Mark, and Papi. Thanks, everyone, and hope everyone plans to continue on!
-
Mark and I wanted to do a roll call to see who is in for 2025 for this league. I personally definitely want the league to continue, but half the league has not been filled or active in December. If people are not going to continue, think it's best to know now for roster movement in the offseason and work needed to fill spots. Please reply here if you're going to stay and commit to 2025 by December 31st. Big Papi, you don't have to as you paid for the 2025 season.
-
Sorry to see Gary go, but we haven't heard from him on Slack and he's been inactive since August. Hopefully, he comes back and can take his team back.
-
We're only down to Tricky Wick (other than Wahoo which won't happen unless someone claims that team today) in terms of arbitration. He hasn't been online since September, so if anyone knows a way to contact him, can you please do that today so he can do arbitration? Thanks in advance.
-
Thank you, Venomous! The Wahoo and Wookie teams are definitely available as both teams are vacant.
-
Ok. Please update here how many vacant slots we have when that becomes clear. I can help find a taker.
-
Sounds good, Birmingham. We're going to have someone do Gary's arbitration and then we'll probably abandon his team tomorrow. We were going to have the proxy do Wahoo's arbitration, but he would have to claim the team so that's a no-go because he can get dinged if he claims it and gets removed soon after.
-
I'll for sure get it done by deadline
-
I would say that everyone who is still in the league has to do arbitration though. If the three people active (I presume you will Birmingham since you posted here) don't do that, it's not a good sign in terms of retention for people to pay again on January 31st.
-
We could potentially find a proxy for arbitration for at least one team and try to see if the spots get filled during the offseason. It would be to basically punt the decision until January/February where it becomes a "cancel the league" choice if we cannot fill the league for a draft. It may limit transactions during the offseason though.
-
I agree that I don't want to drop this league either. Basically, we have three spots open. We're giving Gary to the end of arbitration out of respect since he hasn't said to abandon his team, but he has been MIA for awhile. Mark posted on Slack when we had two openings where one was claimed, but the Wahoo team is probably a real challenge. Wookie's is a bit better, but still might be hard to fill right away.
-
Agreed! Did the league get posted to the Slack channel? Any teams with co-managers want to split?
-
How many vacant spots do we need to fill? I’d hate to drop this league after all these years.
-
There's only about 48 hours to complete arbitration. Also, please let us know if there are any potential owners for the vacant teams. Thank you and have a good one!
-
With Gary checked out and probably going to have to leave, Mark and I are talking about closing down the league, unfortunately, unless we can fill the other spots kinda quickly before the end of arbitration. We'll let you know and please let us know if you have anyone else who wants to play. Thanks!
-
Thanks for letting us know, Wookie. Nice playing with you and good luck in all of your future endeavors.
-
Had fully intended to play again but i don’t think my mind is going to be up for the keeper league this year. Apologies all. As Captain Kirk said “it was…fun”

I was filling out arbitration for a team that Mark and I both have and wanted to send out a gentle reminder here that arbitration is ready to be completed. It only takes about 30 minutes or so and has to be done by November 14th. Thank you and have a great day!
-
He clearly was not a fan of Vic starting a fan club for him.
-
whatever happened to Brandon Belt last season anyway?
-
Vic is looking to take a break from ottoneu, so we will need a new owner for that team as well
-
Thank you very much! I figured Tatis was the prize of the group there and that would have been my vote even before the team was claimed as it is the fair thing to do.
-
Thanks. Glad to hear you are safe after Milton. FWIW, I doubt I would cut Tatis at 38 but I'm good with whatever the league decides.
-
Welcome, Darryl, happy to have you aboard! Now that I am safe and sound with Milton, I vote those players go back on that team with the $2 increase because those were BS cuts that he made when he was almost assuredly going to leave anyway. It warms the cockles of my heart that the Mets eliminated the Phillies after that.
-
Thanks! Let’s see if I can rehab this team.
-
welcome darryl
-
So NotGonnaHappen messaged to say that he does not intent to return and abandon. For his sins, the phillies are currently losing.
Ben's currently escaping the path of Milton, but I'd like a soft vote on whether or not I/we reverse those cuts he made last week (Turner, Tatis, Dana, Caballero) and leave it to any new owner to decide, as I suspect that he had full intent to leave at the time.
On the bright side, it means that any future prospect coming up won't cost $9+ u

Thanks, Wookie, as I appreciate it! Umm, Mark, I didn't ask that to be made a Co-Commish, so definitely willing to let someone else take over full-time if anyone is inclined.
-
Hi Guys, since Gary has been "away" since the 11th of August, I've asked Niv to add Ben and Myself as commish in the interim so that we can sort out a replacement for wahoo (sorry to see you go) and keep things on track. Anyone who actually wants the job of head cat herder, please let me know
-
Yeah, congrats on the hard fought victory! And farewell Wahoo. Like Mario says: wah, woo, wahoooooo!

Sooo, I like Gary and I know he's going through some things at the moment, but we probably do need a Commish (or a Co-Commish, at least) that will check his team more than once every two months. Especially now with the need to fill a team with Wahoo unfortunately leaving and having to set that team able to be claimed by others.
-
Thank you, Wahoo, and the same to you! I enjoyed playing with you as well. Good luck in everything!
-
I will not be renewing my team for next year but wanted to say thank you to everyone for allowing me to be a part of this league the past few years. I wish you all the best!
-
Thanks for the kind words, Birmingham! You and your team definitely didn't make it easy at all and I would be lying if I said I was not worried going into Wednesday with my SP stack that day to go over 1500 IPs. You were definitely a worthy and tough competitor all season! Great season, everyone, and looking forward to the offseason and 2025 with you all! Hmm, maybe I will have to change my team name in the offseason since the team surprisingly didn't bottle it like its namesake.
-
Thanks, Mark, as I know how hard it is for you to give me any praise based on our co-owned teams. Congratulations on getting 3rd as you did a good job all season to get as high as you could!
-
I was hoping I could manage a miracle and stay ahead of the Bottlejobs down the stretch, but just as the per-game-bases foretold he took a lead when it matters the most with an absolute beast of a team. Congrats, champ! The time and care you put into your team showed throughout the season and your blast past the soft cap went as well as anyone could expect. Hoping everyone can grab some fantasy rest and enjoy the playoffs — thanks for a great season!
-
I guess congratulations are in order for Ben.
-
No, they were intercepted by Homeland Security and you're on a few watchlists now. I have my own problems though as I actually found a SP who gave up multiple dongs to the White Sox. Rage cut incoming.
-
did that envelope of glitter that i sent to your work ever arrive? I know the gummy dicks did
-
We'll send you a box of glitter to cheer you up, Mark!
-
damn, over the last week my pitchers have been in worse health than Ben's old Tamogotchi, which has been busting for a shit for the last 25 years. Max, Cobb, Gray, whoever else I cut and now bloody Cortes! Put down the Voodoo dolls Vic, I'm catching up regardless
-
He can't even outscore Simeon Woods Richardson at this point!
-
how dare you sully the name of mad max!
-
Awww, poor Bobby Miller. I feel like you're scapegoating him, Mark. Don't you forget about your other unfortunate choices at SP like Logan Allen, Walker Buehler, Jesus Luzardo, Max Scherzer, and anyone else below 4 PPI. As they say: it takes a village... Yet, you do have a chance at 3rd, so good work overcoming them!
-
F*** Bobby Miller... Derp Miller was Mascot of my pitching this year
-
Sad to see Ward go off after I cut him for Yelich, but good luck with him and hope he does well for you. Definitely a good bid by you, but it makes me shake my head that someone starts an auction on someone red hot and just bids the minimum though.
-
Haha, it sure would be! I'm just going to call him that while he is on my team.
