does someone need to check on Crying? he must still be slammed at work and I cant hold my breath much longerr

Dickey

or Addison Reed...
-
Felt like we got a Bryce Harper trade tease...hurry up and make this thing happen. Can't wait to see where he ends up...
-
While non-contending teams are in the market to pick up ineffective closers, please don't forget exhibit A - J. Valverde. He'd make a nice addition.

Alexei is an ottoneu phenom.

How about Alexei Ramirez's .516 OPS? 28 hitters qualified for the batting title have SLG higher than that
-
Did you know that Joey Votto has a .615 BABIP in June?

it doesn't matter what I say about him, he's getting voted off if he goes 0-100
-
I see what you did there...point out all of his negatives
-
if only Trout were going to keep BABIPing .470 or whatever he's at...
-
Seriously. I'd even be willing to help cover the cap penalty.

I suspect Enrico at play too. Also agree Enrico should just drop Trout. Makes perfect sense.

already did two weeks ago

Time to auction Tyler Moore yo...

Harper's awesome, but there aren't too many steals at $39

I'm only thinking about Bill's best interests here.

I don't see how Trout doesn't get voted off, even with Sale and Strasburg. He might as well just drop Trout at this point really.

re: Harper, thanks for the messages guys, I'm just swamped at work today. Will get back to everyone this evening.
-
my money is on Enrico as the mystery bidder for Harper...if he cant keep Trout (potentially), why not trade some big prospects for Harrper
-
Not that shocking, he's a closer with good job security, definitely should be owned.

agreed, that was a surprising auction

I'd argue Durham just got a gift by not winning the H. Bell auction yet getting his money back...
-
answer - way too much.

Harper on the move? Can't wait to see this...

Still looking to move pitching for hitting, one way or another.

ok lets get this started again...Kyle Zimmer is coming up before throwing a single professional pitch....what does he go for?
-
So, um, I was really not planning on this, but I have a tempting offer on the table for Harper. Anyone else want to try?
-
I did get Melky, but you also tricked me into thinking that Jon Axford was actually useful.

You got Melky when I didnt think he could sustain his current level either...I'm not taking complaints from you :)

Interesting point I hadn't considered about Hosmer: even if he doesn't get 5 games in OF this year, he almost certainly will early next year with expanded interleague.
-
Ok, at 8 AM this morning I have 6996.3. Gonna watch it again today....
-
15 innings of 6+ P/IP last night, and my overall P/IP doesn't budge *at all*. I swear there is something wonky with the standings page.

I also gave up Willingham last year for next to nothing, so I feel your pain. It's not that the trade was bad, it's that I would have give you much more for JW had you shopped him to me. A LOT more.

I actually agree with Wood. Doubtful Willingham keeps this up and Thornburg could be very good. Big surprise Willingham has sustained this level all year long
-
i still think Thornburg will be a very good pitcher...I also did not think that Willingham would keep it up this year and especially next year, plus with his injury history i didnt want to wait too long...you win some, you lose some
-
Speaking of baffling, who's that guy playing 2B for the O's with all those hits tonight? BRob!!!
-
The Willingham trade was just baffling to me.

Landing Willingham might have been the best, quietest move I made this season. He's been huge for me, and cheap, too.
-
Getting some frenzied feedback about my rule change proposal on Twitter. Interesting. Niv says he will post some sort of response in AM.

Most impressive turnaround is Joes though, easily.

... and going for it this year I'd be even stronger going forward. I really dealt away some big time value to compete this year.

and yes, I'd like to think my 2 year plan last year is working this year - I honestly feel I have a team capable of winning for at least the next 2-3 years. If I would've been patient and built up slowly for one more season instead of saying '#$%# it'...

And even if Ottoneu as a whole won't implement it, Strikes could enforce it here as Commish. The existing system takes much of the allure out of prospects.

As much as I prefer keeping the existing arbitration system yet limiting it to guys with 3 or more years of ML service time, I would be very happy at just implementing Strikes system as well.

Impressive. I successfully chose the exact combination of players to start tonight to equal zero points in my active lineup.
-
Pretty sure it will fall on deaf ears, but I'm going to post my suggestion about replacing the "vote off" with the "dollar add" idea from each team ($1 by every other team) on the Correa post today. See if I can get some traction for large scale change
