Jay Bruce just stolen by Enrico. Pretty much assures at least one of Hanley or Longo will be on the move next because without Bruce, one of the team's best keepers, looks like Mini Weeks is prepared for a multiyear rebuild
-
Frosted Mini Weeks's trading block has been updated!
-
I would say Tulo as a keeper is 50/50 right now, we'll see next January when we have to cut
-
i can still own Tulo for 35 if that's his market price next year . . . though if that's his market price, Reyes wasn't a keeper @ 30 either...
-
What was the highest player auctioned this year? CarGo @ $53? Not really sure where prices will go in the next draft. I find it hard to believe a guy like Pujols or Tulo will go for $50+ again considering recent performance, etc. Depends on contenders
-
I love the deal for Enrico, the only possible gaffe being that he could have owned Tulo for $35 or $40 after Durham cut him in the offseason. But now he has the bird in hand, still a terrific player.

lets not let this massive trade overshadow how I am supposed to get the correct Zach Lee on my roster
-
Durham is loaded in the OF so losing Gordon will hurt a little but isnt killer...he gave up two huge guys in back to back trades, but got Reyes and Stanton in return at equal or better prices...he's doing just fine
-
Obviously Enrico can afford to keep Tulo at that price although he probably wouldnt go for that at auction next year...Durham had to make a trade and got the much more productive SS for the rest of this year most likely and a decent prospect to add in...
-
Parker has upside but so does Darvish, who I think will be better. Would rather have the SP with the 9+ K/9. I want no part of keeping Tulo at $51 next season, so I think it makes some sense for both sides. Slight edge to Enrico. Maybe.
-
Interested to hear reaction on the trade. I had a really hard time deciding but slept on it and obviously decided to make the move.
-
how shocked?
-
Darvish > Parker; Reyes > Tulo (considering price, injuries), Gordon > Olt (at least for now...young $6 MLB don't grow on trees, and Olt is still a prospect until he has a spot and proves it).
-
That is a freaking nasty haul for Enrico.

That's twice now Durham has had to give up the premier player because he can't afford to wait on the injury return. I think I would have done the same given his position, but Tulo not nearly as valuable as Kemp considering price.
-
Shocked by that trade. Absolutely shocked.
-
Yes, he was activated & optioned to AAA this morning.
-
Did Kalish come off the 60 day DL? He was there yesterday, and today he's not, forcing me to drop a player...
-
I like Kalish (in fact I owned him last year) but I do not see him as a $6 player yet.

seems to me Ottoneu added him and then once stats started to accrue he got added again instead of the stats going to the profile ottoneu created. There is only one I believe, and Wood should have him for $4.

I'm not sure which Lee I have since there is only one Zach Lee listed in ottoneu and on baseball-reference
-
the SP for the Dodgers in the minors who could have gone to LSU...I wanted Lee when I didnt get Bradley at the auction and thought I did
-
who is the "right" zach lee?
-
Crazy stat: Adam Dunn is 7 for 11 vs Kershaw with 2 doubles and 3 HR lifetime. I think he'll be in my lineup tomorrow for a rare lefty start...
-
in fact there is supposedly only one Zach Lee so I'm not sure how I won him at the draft without getting the right one
-
so I'm going to be penalized for picking the wrong Zach Lee by having to spend more money and take a cap penalty?
-
Safe to say Wood is bidding at least $4...
-
ok so I just saw the auction started for Zach Lee...apparently I drafted the wrong one because thats who I paid $4 for
-
I think Pedroia will begin to decline by the time Odor is ready...and not decline as much as just more time on dl
-
I presume he means Wood's future as Pedroia owner -- though if Pedroia is on the decline already tough to see Odor being the answer
-
Then why is Odor the future behind Pedroia?
-
I hope not...no more Red Sox for me...I dont even like them
-
Has Odor already been traded to Boston?
-
I do especially at that position for when Pedroia starts declining or becoming more injured
-
Wood likes the Roughneck
-
Nothing like a trade of prospects to get the blood flowing again and the arguments flying...
-
ok I didnt want to argue that XB is bad...I think he will be fine but dont think he is competition for MB for at least 2 years. I dont think MB is a star either, but I would argue that he is more valuable at 3B than Duda at 1B or even as a 4th OF...
-
Geez, Weeks...wish you had posted that comment 30 minutes ago before I dealt WMB. I think we had all assumed you weren't in it for 2012. Good to see it finally confirmed...
-
Yes, Xander won't stick at SS. But he could go to LF if WMB is performing at that time. I'm not banking on WMB becoming a superstar, just a cost-effective option at 3B next year.
-
Ok, here is the deal. I am inundated with trade offers for everyone on my roster. I am willing to deal. My team is not competitive this year. Make me interesting offers. I'll trade whoever to contenders for youngsters.
-
agreed that he's not in BOS until 2014 but he's posting big numbers. I haven't seen him play but everything I read says he'll move off SS
-
he's got a .200 ISO and has upped his walk rate and he's the 2nd youngest player in that league at 19... http://www.baseballamerica.com/blog/prospects/2012/04/the-youngest-players-in-each-full-season-league/
-
I agree the K's have to come down, but I see XB as their SS and he isnt exactly lighting up high A ball (solid but unimpressive) and isnt going to be ready until 2014 at the earliest
-
Middlebrooks is crap though, he's not a solution there with Boegarts coming and he Ks too much to be effective long term in the majors unless something changes dramatically
-
I agree...3B is incredibly thin and I can't see Duda being that much better than MB
-
That trade is something of a head-scratcher.

Brandon Phillips is killing me this week...

That should give you all the inspiration you need to contemplate my next Harper offer.
