• I tried to trade for Darvish a week ago and offered 3 top 100 prospects and was rejected. The response was "I'm planning on keeping Darvish." Seems odd.

• I have one deal out there that's been sitting for weeks now, I've had it happen many times before. I stop offering after awhile and then just deal with those that will engage. That all being said, I'll veto the deal for now, don't want anyone feeling like the league isn't fair, but the veto trade option is there for such things so don't change your mind after the fact. Next time this happens we should just let that play its course.

• A few things...we all value players differently and group think is always behind the curve. Trade blocks aren't always updated. Let's not get into name calling. We didn't talk about the deal, it showed up, I accepted as anyone would. I know JD/Jum from fantasy leagues and a Cubs blog, he just likes trading. It's not anyone duty to shop their deals to everyone. A lot of people can be a pain in the ass to deal with or don't answer their emails and you just stop trying...1/

• Also look at trade block. No indication by Jum that he was shopping players. No indication by CGT that Arcia was on the block - presumably not even worthy of a mention.

• Look at ownership and average salaries of McMahon and Arcia. Very low. Clearly not considered top prospects in Ottoneu universe and no way reasonable return for Lindor and Darvish who are both top producers, and at least one of which is a young stud in his own right. Easy veto for me.

• Rob......I think you are in a tough spot as League Commissioner. In addition to the diverse opinions on the players involved in the trade, comments by several managers---and more importantly by you and Jum---expose the inequity of the trade. I foolishly approved it, knowing it looked very peculiar. My mistake. I think the trade should be cancelled, and re-engineered to reflect the players you all thought you meant to include (Zobrist, Albies, etc). That seems a reasonable alternative now...

• I don't know if Jum is a dick, but he sure comes off like one. And the fact that he acknowledges people will be pissed off suggests he knows this transaction is not legit. We all recognize that high-salary stars/cap room are traded for prospects in ottoneu - that's not the issue - it's both the value of the return and the lack of transparency here. I'm not suggesting there was overt collusion, but I assume (correct me if I'm wrong) CGT and Jum know each other.

• I honestly thought I was trading away Albies. So everyone knows, Jum offered the trade, I accepted, certainly wasn't going to pass it up. There wasn't any collusion....Jum just likes to trade. You guys can (and I certainly wouldn't blame you) veto it down. I think the way McMahon is hitting, he'll easily be a top 100 prospect fwiw.

• I'm currently the #3/4 team in the league and Darvish is better than any pitcher on my roster (fantasy points). Lindor is arguably the best SS in baseball - yes he is "struggling" at #7 with 14 HR etc. in return you get a defensive light hit SS and McMahon is the #15 or #9 prospect (depending on your source) in the ROCKIES SYSTEM not in MLB. • Cool, yeah, Lindor is the #7 SS for the year. I said he had a big first month. Then he had a so-so 2nd month. And he was horrible in June. Maybe he'll turn it around again. Maybe he won't.

• Lindor is the #7 SS and Darvish is the #8 SP overall in our scoring. Arcia is a glove first SS that has never hit and was only a prospect for his defense. McMahon is a non top100 prospect that is blocked in the majors. Plus you gave money, a lot of money. These are all facts with no opinion added by me.

• Ok, I'll go further. Lindor has sucked this year minus the first month. I thought he'd improve on last year, but now I don't think he will. Who's going to trade for Lindor? Nobody, unless I pay the salary. I like Arcia. A lot. Maybe I'm wrong about him. I guess we'll find out. Darvish has been decent, but he certainly hasn't been elite. He'll have some good games, yeah. I think McMahon's going to be a Coors Field stud. Maybe he won't. I guess we'll find out.

• contacted and sounds like the remaining teams in the top 4 other than CGT were also not contacted. I have no problem with Jum rebuilding and if this was the best exchange he could get, that would be one thing - but appears that's not the case.

• I was also surprised by this trade. Arcia was a top prospect and is only 22, and McMahon is having a strong year and could play in Coors, but Arcia has shown very little (Lindor is only a year older) and McMahon is not a Top 100 prospect. Mainly, though, I'm curious if Jum shopped these players to anyone else? If you're going to make a possibly league-altering trade, and it's truly arm's-length, don't you at least make some effort to look for the best deal? Maybe he did - but I wasn't . . .
