I'm flexible as long as it's 2pm EST or later.

Either works for me. I'm chomping at the bit.
-
I hate to do this after being the guy to push for a later date, but something has come up on the 18th. How pissed off would you be about switching back to the 4th?
-
There did not seem to be any objections for Sunday, March 18th, so I've moved the draft to then at 2pm EST/11am PST. We have March 4th as a back-up in case something pops up, but let's try and make that work.
I'll start sending out reminders about a week or two before.

alright, I changed the draft to Sunday, March 4th at 2PM EST/11AM PST. We could possibly move it closer to the start of the season on the Sunday, the 18th, but I'm not sure of all your schedules. So if you CAN'T make the 18th let me know here, by email or through the Ottoneu private message. Try to let me know by end of day Friday...thanks.

I think I just set the draft for something close to what we did last year and then I vaguely remember some offseason conversations with new owners that they couldn't make mid or late March. I generally prefer late drafts as well but I swear someone told me they were booked up on weekends after the 10th.

All proposed dates/times good with me. Did I miss a survey or request re different draft time options? Don’t know source of Rob's original message of “Draft is currently set for March 10......”. Guess I missed something.....

At the moment, I think all the weekends in March are good for me. I generally prefer to draft closer to opening day because I don't like having spring training injuries sink my season, but March 4 works if that's the consensus.
-
Either could work for me.
-
Sunday March 4th would be great. I'll make 10th or 11th work if need be, but I have USA Baseball obligations that weekend and would be drafting from a field. In any event I'll make it work. Thanks guys.
-
I'm fine with Sundays, I just need the time to be 2pm EST or later. Thanks.

thanks for the response KC...for everyone else, try to get back to me by this weekend or Monday at the latest. Otherwise I'll take your silence as tacit approval to move it.

I definitely prefer Sundays. Typically I have to work all day Saturdays.

and if others have conflict, we'll keep it the 10th and I'll try and make it work. FYI, expect 3 hours for the full auction to finish.

Draft is currently set for Sat, March 10th at 1pm EST/10am PST. This is actually turning out to be a bad day for me. Anyway we can move it to Sunday, March 11th or Sunday, March 4th? I'm flexible on times but let's say 1pm EST/10am PST for now? I can makeother Saturdays work as well (the 17th or the 24th), but I believe others had problems on those days. So if the 4th or 11th absolutely doesn't work for you, let me know here or in a private message or if there's a specific time window...

Not to increase my popularity ratings, but i am a bit amused with the trade chatter......I have yet to see any trade ever get more than three votes of 12 members. Three. Sometimes none or 1 or 2 votes. Some folks equate not voting to tacit approval, but if only a small minority of us vote, why even go through the process? Has a trade ever been vetoed by the voting process? So we might ask ourselves, why bother with the process?

and per usual, my complaining should not be taken as I'm actually upset or should reverse the trade or anything like that...just keeping the offseason intersting :) 2 days to make your cuts...2 days for the Cubs to sign Darvish so I can keep him :)

as for the trade I'm complaining about, Gallo was worth $12.8 last year, Morton $20 and Richards $8...projected for $21, $14 and $14 and cost just $5, $3 and $6, so yeah... And then to cut 2 players in the trade which never makes sense. I get overpaying for players you really want, but why ask for players you don't even want? ~shrug~ Anyway, here's where I'm getting the 2017 valuations btw if you're curious; https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1A6RYpnYjwPdZkrKxKog8gWu6zzh1Vwk28nBCNsLdO4I/edi

Those rules apply throughout the season, BTW.
-
Not sure there’s a penalty, but you can’t make roster moves besides cutting unless your roster is in a valid state, which means $400 or under and enough cap room for available roster spots. So if you have 16 roster spots open, you need $16 of room, 10 roster spots, you need $10 of room. And of course any player you cut after the deadline, you only get 50% credit.

what Rhy's Pieces said, it takes exactly 48 hours for a trade to go through, so if you agree to one that won't get finalized until after the deadline, it will go through but you can't cut or trade the again until after the auction is completed.

A player you trade for won't show up on your roster until the trade goes through, so mechanically there's no way to make the trade before then. Obviously, nothing stops you from messaging owners to set the deal up, but you can't put it in the system until the first deal goes through. Nor can you cut a player you haven't received yet, so I'd assume you're stuck with anybody you get on a deal that finalizes after the deadline.
-
This is a theoretical question: can I trade a player before the trade I received him in was approved by the league? Seems like anybody I trade for on the 30th could not be traded. And how would this affect the keeper deadline? Thanks.
