OK - Penalty-free cut mode should now be active. Once we settle on a draft date, we will track back 1 or 2 weeks before that and use that date to "turn off" penalty-free mode at that time so the player pool is clear ahead of draft

Don't have strong feelings either way, but I would prefer if our custom-cut deadline was at least a few days if not a week before the draft so we can prep knowing the player pool available (assuming we opt for the custom-cut).

Not sure it makes a huge difference as player skills are known, as long as the cuts have to be made before any camp starts/game action to avoid any performance or injury related decisions on the cuts (given many will make cuts for the 15/2 deadline)

Okay, I have no issue with setting a new date for March 1 and then reevaluating as the owners and MLBPA (hopefully) make progress

Particularly the conversation downthread.
Basically, half the league are still Free Agents, we don't have clarity on their home park, path to playing time or if they'll even be on a team. Heck we aren't even sure if we are playing a full season, which can change the calculus between rebuild vs. make a run in '22 for managers

Hey guys, I saw Niv post that while the global keeper deadline is 2/15 that many leagues are allowing custom penalty-free cuts up to the draft, due to lockout. Any thoughts on doing that? (I am for it)

I have somebody who would join the league if one of the two dropped out.

Ill give them a couple more days..say til saturday. I think isolated travels alot but not sure. When/if that time comes and they haven't renewed I'll abandon their teams ok. Sound good?

Unless the league is under their old emails, there is a 100% Chance they've seen the messages. If anybody has their numbers i'd shoot them a text. if that's a no, then i'd just look to replace them by the 15th or so to align with the keeper deadline.

Yeah, I mean they should have been getting the red message to renew for at least 10-15 days. Iso Kenny hasn't been online since the 11th though. Cienfuegos were online on the 31st so idk what to make of that. I agree w Buehler's.

Cienfuegos has been pretty spotty in managing the team. Might be worth it to send both teams a message to try to prompt them but otherwise let the general public claim the team. Don't know if other league members feel differently...

How long is the grace period for them to renew before the team becomes available for anyone to claim?

I've messaged the 2 teams that haven't renewed..but no replies yet. Not sure on protocal on this. I know one of the teams has been here since the league was formed. I'll give them some more time....any suggestions from you guys? Thanks
