I know that a Doodle is the standard way to go, but I have had luck just throwing out a date & time and sticking with it until I hear otherwise. Here goes...Wed Mar 22nd @ 9:00 EST?
-
I have a $33 Wander available. Some others. May not sound great but I just saw that there are 2 owners bringing about $200 to the draft and one is bringing $350! It's going to be a rough draft room, lol.

I'll be open for last minute offers until around 11pm est. After that I'll be doing a final once over the roster and start making cuts.
-
Today is cut day, renew day, and trade deadline day (for a while). All of our teams are owned and renewed!!! Great job league. One team over the cap, and a couple close to it...make sure you get below $400 before midnight. And...still time to make some moves before rosters are locked until post-auction...deal away.

Welcome to the league Mission.

Welcome to the new owner of Joes.

Merry Christmas to all my fellow owners.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow owners.

Thanks! I’m an incompetent manager with hopes to improve.

Welcome to the new owner of Joes.

Congrats LL on the win!! Great season everyone. Enjoy the playoffs.
-
Congrats Lovable Losers! Well played this year. You earned the flag.
-
Nicely done LL. Not an easy task to take down the Dog.
-
Congratulations to the Lovable Losers who demonstrated that 50% of their name is totally wrong.
-
nice season, Crime Dog! I really had to fight for that one
-
Congrats on the upcoming championship LL. I am resigned that there is no path to victory remaining for me (barring a Runs or SB miracle). I could not squeeze any Ws from my starters in the last week and you played your last innings push today very well. Great fortune to have 5 starters line up for the soft cap day, with only 4 innings remaining...very well played. You had an amazing September.
-
Ah makes sense. It looks like offensive stats are pretty set but Losers may have a little room on the pitching side.

It depends on how much of lead the team has on each of the categories (especially the pitching) and how close to the position limits they are. If the team the reaches the 1500 IP limit with 3 weeks left, there might be enough time for another team to pass them in wins/saves/K's and they will be stuck at whatever they are at for ERA and Whip - that's 5 points right there. Trades made this final week, injuries, or players getting benched for playoff run can also affect point totals.
-
You guys ever see big lead changes in the last six weeks or are they too stable for big swings at this point? 10 point lead safe?

Thanks for your perspective. That pretty much sums up what I was at least trying to do. I'm sorry for the drama y'all. Was honestly pretty happy with the return.

The return here are not scrubs...two 60 grade prospects and a 50...close or in the majors...the prospect side could out-compete the veteran side...next year.
-
...which I don't see here. I have actually been using this as a rebuilding strategy now. I use ample cap space at auction, if I have it and good value players are scarce, for buying slightly over-priced aging veterans hoping they have a great start...then trade for good value young players on top teams very early in the year...making the case that they get them for most of the year and can wrap up a championship...flags fly for ever.
-
I have been on Ottoneu since the beginning and these types of trades are baked into the Ottoneu pie. We would all wish that the pricy experienced players would be spread around a bit at the top, but it is not always possible. I have seen MUCH worse than this. In the early days, I am not sure they happened this early, and when these early offloads popped up a railed against them a few times. We have a remedy, if we think this is too far, but the veto is supposed to be used for collusion...

I've sent offers to everyone in this league. Look at your competition. Ball has acuña, soto, walker etc. All for cheaper than Trevor story was.

I have no problem with selling studs for prospects, and intend to myself if I can't compete. But I was just trying to clarify if this is normal for this league for one team to be the AA affiliate for another after 4 weeks. Spread the love around, don't trade all your pieces to one team and you're likely to find better.
-
Sorry guys. Veto the trade and I'll happily come in eighth every year like crunchberry intends to.

My issue with trades like this (and I am guilty of sending offers to Rookie like was accepted by the way) is the cash. Loveable should not still have $33 available after a deal like this. Already getting player value back so should be taking a salary hit for it.
-
You could surely get better value than two pitchers with arm problems and an outfielder who hit 230 with 15 homers in his first full season.
-
People will pay more now because they have the player longer. It's not now or then. It's now and then.
