Morneau too.
-
Justin Moreau is available
-
I can feel my team about to turn it around. 1st things 1st, gonna sign Sean Casey. He's the kind of guy who can really bring a clubhouse together. Since most of the stats I know aren't counted here, I'm assuming clubhouse morale is the leading indicator
-
I have made no bad decisions. I'm playing long ball, you guys are all peaking too early.
-
Aroldis Chapman is available for trade.
-
Happily, there is plenty of time remaining in which to make even more bad decisions.

Papi's, Tino: Competent fantasy players.
-
Scrappy, Podcasts: Made less bad decisions.
-
Buster's, iPad: Bad decisions were made.
-
Goldy Lox, The Putouts: Only set their lineup about 1/2 the time
-
Count Doe's, Linear Regressions: Horrendous luck.
-
Relariel, Fleas: Totally tuned out.
-
I break down the standings so far thusly...
-
Yup
-
Is this league still on?
-
That signing saved me a $1. $1 I can spend on Justin Morneau.
-
great signing of Zumaya...in 2006
-
I gave James Shields a holliday yesterday. And thus ends my whinging about the performance of my bench.

-
Have I mentioned how awesome Gonzo is?
-
Is this the worst set of currently auctioned players possible?
-
Another day, another 107 on my bench. Why not? I'm going to change my team name to Gonzo's Curse.
-
I wouldn't count on a trophy yet. Alameda Fleas is going to start paying attention at the All-Star break.
-
Holliday smells. Gonzo is great. I'll take that to the bank with my trophy.
-
last time I did that Daisy, I had to go door to door in my neighborhood and introduce myself. So you'll have to content yourself with just imagining it...not as satisfying, but perhaps it'll do in a pinch.

...for the past three years. Lo and behold, ZiPS has them finishing at 408 (Holliday) and 402 (Gonzo). I used wRC+ because they are similar, instead of taking wOBA and saying: "Actually, Holliday is just better."

Jeremy: Make me. xx, daisy.
-
That's why I used wRC+. Look at wOBA since '08. Holliday (418, 390, 396) v. Gonzo (368, 402, 378). So '09 sticks out but assuming Gonzo isn't doing quite that again, we might expect his production to reach the levels Holliday has consistently been at...

and clearly so, unless Holliday gets traded back to a hitter's park.
-
Podcast - wRC+ is park & league adjusted, our scoring system is not. A hit is a hit in this league, HRs at Citi count the same as HRs into the bullpen at Fenway (what is that, 180 ft. from home plate?) So A-gon in Fenway is indeed more fantasy valuable...
-
But wRC+ is already park and league adjusted, so they are really very, very similar. Anyway, sure, I know Papi has a lot of OFs. I'm not really complaining, I'm only joking.
-
Holliday is the same player if you think that Adrian won't get a boost from Fenway. But for me, it made sense because I needed to upgrade at CI - and the price was steep.
-
Ah, but Matt Holliday is clearly the same player as Adrian Gonzalez (146, 144, 149, to 155, 143, 143 wRC+ the last three years). So less of your lies.
-
Also, there are OFers falling off trees. (Someone start an auction for Cain!) while 1B is relatively shallow.
-
Well, Adrian Gonzalez is clearly a better player than Holliday. And who knows what will happen with Mauer. So I thought it was a fine trade. Re: Lackey, try paying for Mejia and Santana! I am the Wilpons of the League of Lev.
-
I simply cannot believe the John Lackey continues to cost me $11 - he's my own personal Julio Lugo.
-
Is anyone (other than vindictive me) voting against trades? AstroPad got away with murder there. Or at least 20 free dollars.
-
It's not nice to use that kind of tone - Daisy may end up writing about you on a widely read feminist web site.
-
Daisy...take off your top. xx, Jeremy
-
Then claim Mike Morse, he's better.
-
wow...apparently the best player on my team is jason Kubel....that doesn't make me feel real good
-
that pick up of Chris Perez was dedicated to Dave and his love of the auction format
-
RIP James Loney
-
Jeremy, I don't know who you are or where you live, but I think you should watch your back. xx, daisy
-
Chase Utley will definitely be back in June - June 2012.
-
The Chase Utley that's back in a month? Yeah I saw your bench this morning. I laughed. Papi's Curse has got a lot of cash to spare. Must really like A-Gon. Oh. And there it is - the penny drops.
-
I also wonder if having 95 pts on my bench while my starters only scored ~7 is an ignominous ottoneu record.
-
If only you had all that money you spent on Chase Utley.
-
I wish I had some money so I could hijack this great Chris Perez conspiracy.
