Congrats winners! Great season everyone, stay safe and healthy!
-
The main reason for this rule is to avoid situations where someone wins 25 auctions the last day and carries 70 players and $60 over cap into the off season.
-
Just a reminder as the end of the season approaches. There's an expectation that you go into the off season legal. So, if your roster is at 44 of 44 and $450 out of $450 when the season ends, you're legal.
-
Sevei asked me to add a co owner to his team. Welcome nbewen.
-
But also post to the boards. This is a good league and it's good to keep everyone in the loop.
-
I actually came to check the boards after I got the cut email, but I was a few minutes early. If anyone needs me quickly for something like this, fire me a message. I'll see it quicker, especially in the off season.
-
No prob adding him back from me.
-
all good. no foul
-
Fine with adding him back, it happens and you notified quickly
-
Hey y'all I'm not sure what happened by I didn't mean to cut Griffin Canning just now. I have plenty of cap space, and no adds, so I def didn't need to. I'm not sure how it happened and didn't even realize it until I saw the email notification. FWIW I'm also seeing stats from the last two days and not today. Is anyone else having website problems? If people want me to just eat the cut then fine, it's not a huge deal, but I definitely didn't want to cut the dude after his best start of the year.
-
I haven't been around much, life's been busy. But Trout is available if anyone wants to throw me an offer today/tomorrow.
-
Welcome and good luck new guy.
-
I claimed Kevins. I'll try to stay in the race but want to make the roster over.

Kevins has asked me to mark his team as abandoned.
-
I went and looked and everyone had logged in since at least yesterday. I love this league.
-
Everyone, please read the link at the top of the page with the Coronavirus update and how it affects ottoneu. I'm strongly inclined to continue with this league, but it's a conversion to have when we know note. I don't really have anything to add to it, but I want to make sure everyone noticed. Be safe and be smart!
-
Trading should be open! Good luck this season, all, and thanks for making this off-season work despite the hiccoughs!
-

23rd works for me.

As of this moment, Sunday 23rd is safe.
-
I'm going to start there. I want to reach out to the people who didn't vote for it first to seer if w can find some sort of arrangement.
-
Am I right in assuming that as things stand now the auction would be the 23rd of Feb?
-
Welcome to the new owner! Everyone is paid. We'll have a new date for the auction scheduled by this weekend, want to make sure as many people as possible can attend. Next week, we'll talk about a custom renewal deadline.
-
It looks like it’s been claimed but obviously needs it’s round of cuts. Then figure out a new draft day I’m assuming.
-
any update on the uncertainty surrounding David Cone of Uncertainty?
-
The surplus calculator coverts steamer's projection to ottoneu points then assign dollar value to the points. I think this is a simple explanation.

How does the surplus calculator determine values? Some values just don't make a lot of sense to me.
-
Thats awesome! Thanks again Commish

As a apology gift, we're going to continue to have trading through next Friday, the 7th, at 11:59p. If both sides agree to a trade and both message me the details, I'll manually process it. The caveat is they will all be loan-free.
-
I want to apologize to everybody, especially the people that changed their plans for today, but we're going to postpone. I changed the draft date to May 15th as a placeholder.
-
Postpone

postpone league draft plenty of time to get a team before season

Hopefully we can get a new owner relatively quick.
-
I think there is a third option of auctioning followed by penalty free cuts without significant long term ramifications, but agree that overall league health should be the prevailing priority. Good either way
-
I think I'm hearing that we'd prefer to postpone for league health. I'm ok with that, too. I'll wait till three for any dissent before canceling it today. I do want to thank everyone here. This really is one of the most mature groups I've dealt with in any fantasy environment.
-
I'm here. I really only see two options. 1) put all of the players back into the pool, draft today, and play with 11 teams for at least this season. 2) postpone the draft because when you give someone a free round of cuts to pick up an unrenewed team, new owners generally do so with the understanding that they still get to take part in the draft. By having a draft this early we would eliminate that option for any potential new owners.
-
i'm inexperienced, defer to you guys 100% on how to proceed. Can draft today or later.
-
One more bit of insight to help think it through. The teams I've seen miss auction have both placed in the money and fallen off, but this is mostly attributed to the starting point of the roster combined with the skill of the owner. Not a death sentence but can make it more challenging depending on what the owner wants to accomplish (which is unknown until a new owner comes in).
-
I agree with the custom deadline, but there's plenty of time to discuss that later.
-
If attractiveness of the team is an issue, we could all chip in 5 bucks for the new owner or something like that.
-
There are some good pieces for the next owner to work with so I’m less worried about it being a dead team but I know it can be hard to get guys in for a rebuild
-
I am here, I can do the auction, but I really don't know how this messes up things. For next year, i propose an earlier payment deadline enforced by the league, preferably as early in the off-season as possible.
-
If new owner comes in assuming they would get free round of cuts and can work from there. The team doesn't appear to have huge holes to fill and the ability to trade loans makes it easier to make trades. But a lot of that will come down to personal evaluations of the roster. Certainly starting from a point of competitiveness vs total rebuild.
-
Whatever we have to do for the league I’m open to. I’m usually in the boat of less down time but that could seriously set back cones team for a while
