OK, in that case I'm offering Judge and Alvarez for any scrub anyone's got. BOB, have at it.
-
Trades!
If you're considering trading with Sixty Games Out, talk to me before you complete a deal! I'll top whatever offer he makes!
-
TCFC just cut my formerly substantial lead in half in one week with 7 more to go, which is pretty amazing. So I'm definitely open for business re: trades. Let's do deals, people!
-
Wishing I hadn’t abandoned my $98 bid on Grissom.
-
You guys are in trouble now! #degrominator
-
Correction: they're actually prospects #2 and #10 if you don't count rookies who are already in the majors. https://www.mlb.com/prospects/top100/
-
The biggest risk my team faced was an injury to Harper or Judge, and now it's happened. Harper's going to be out a long time. I have two top-15 prospects: Anthony Volpe (#5) and Jack Leiter (#15) and am ready to consider trading at least one of them for an all-star bat or arm. Let's make a deal, folks.
-
There may be hope for me yet: In the 5 non-salary-management times I've added/cut Vince Velasquez, 9 days is the shortest time before I got fed up.
6/15/15 - 1/18/18
5/27/19 - 7/3/19
7/28/20 - 8/19/20
5/17/21 - 7/20/21
5/9/22 - 5/18/22
I have had precisely one good game from him during this stretch.

I like that interpretation! Though it's also a charitable way of saying I can't keep a full roster healthy enough to stay on the pace for innings or games. Acuna comes back tonight, baby!
-
Erik is in 7th place but he's winning. The rest of us are pitching too many innings and starting too many hitters.
-
Only one team in the league has an offense averaging more than 5 ppg. That's crazy!
-
I'm not just in last place. I'm in VERY last place.
-
Loaded with your players, it's a very highly ranked team. But I think 60 Games Out had the highest ceiling.
-
Does this mean that Dutch Ovens are favored this year since HOU has the highest predicted win total out of all those teams?
-
Needless to say, the other teams are SEVERELY gutted.
-
In my spare time, I loaded up our teams in MLB the Show 22 (they have extensive Minor League rosters, too). I set it to maximize regular season matchups between our teams PLUS give us a good chance for a World Series matchup. We break down like this: Tony Womack-BAL, 60 Games Out-BOS, Happenstance-TB, Obliquers-OAK, B-Team-SEA, Dutch Ovens-HOU, Kingery-LAA, Timmy Jim-CHC, Friar-CIN, One Flap-MIL, Ozuna-PIT, Swamp Dwellers-STL. All our teams are ranked high but I'm interested to see it play out!
-
Oooookay, Bauer is suing The Athletic. That's it for me.
-
I’m just going to wait for Bellinger to have a resurgent first half and trade him to one of you suckers and then break his legs!
-
Nope, sorry. You’re going to get a penalty when you cut Bellinger now.
-
Are cuts free before the season begins? I forget.
-
Great draft everyone! Reminder: Until the season starts, the winner of any ties on these two-day drafts is decided at random among the teams that entered the highest bid. It happens automatically and the commissioners have no say. Once the season starts, the tie goes to the team that’s lower in the standings.
-
Reminder: Our draft is Sunday morning! Be there!
-
I think my team will be sponsored by a luxury car company but I just have to figure out which one.
-
Now that MLB teams can put ads on their uniforms, shouldn't we all have sponsors, too? I'm going to talk to Wendy's about putting a Baconater on the 60GO jerseys.
-
Hi all, I've got 5 hours to either trade Harper or keep him. He's just way too good to cut, even at $12 over the market price. He's 29 years old and trailed only Vladdy and Soto in points among hitters last year. Those of you with lots of cap room, make me a reasonable offer and I'll listen! Otherwise you're going to end up using all that cap space to overpay for crap hitters in the draft.
-
Federation members: Based on my reading of the latest info in the link at the top of our league page, the Ottoneu keeper deadline is NOT going to be pushed back again. So we all have until Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. Eastern to make our cuts. If you want to wait until Tuesday to make sure, that's fine, but it seems pretty set. (Sounds like Niv is balancing the uncertainty of when the season will start with the desire to give teams enough time to prep if the season does start on time.)
-
Federation members: Ottoneu has pushed back the keeper deadline because of the lockout. It is now Feb. 15 instead of Jan. 31, and could shift again if the lockout drags on. Further details here: https://community.ottoneu.com/t/keeper-deadline-adjust-if-lockout-occurs/10611/6?u=nivshah

I’ll do Smith, Cron and Pablo Lopez before it’s too late.

Franchise tags, take two: Matt Olson and Jesse Winker

Okay, I need to revisit this and so do a few of the rest of you. The rule says you can't tag someone you got at auction in March, or in a trade, waiver pickup or any other means afterwards. So I can't tag McCullers, and I don't think Friar can tag Posey or B Team tag Luis Robert. I may have misread how those two teams got their players, and I didn't check the rest of the nominations yet, but will circle back on this tomorrow.
-
I'm going to protect Will Smith, Lance McCullers and CJ Cron. God my team sucks so bad.

I'll tag Freeman, Goldschmidt, & Posey
-
Franchise Tags: V. Guerrero and B. Bichette.
-
All I get is one tag, and I’m giving it to Corbin Burnes.
-
Tony Womack’s Purple Franchise Tags: Juan Soto and Teoscar Hernandez
-
Franchise Tags - Tatis and Devers
-
Reminder that those teams who earned franchise tags have five more days to designate their selections by posting the picks to the league message board.

What I hate most about the Bad News Bears analogy is that it makes me the Yankees. In our family that’s blasphemy. As my father-in-law once said, “I’d root for Al-Qaida over the Yankees.”
-
I knew that was coming. Congrats on the resounding win. "And another thing: just wait till next year!"
-
"2-4-6-8...."
-
Just want to point out that MLIAK's payroll is $286 while mine is $503. He's winning anyway. That's really impressive.
-
A classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSQxtMWJzGQ
-
Was thinking about the ending of the "Bad News Bears," when the vaunted Yankees did that cheer after they beat the Bears and Tanner Boyle told them to take the trophy and (shove it). Great scene!
-
Does the winner or the loser chant 2-4-6-8? I actually can't remember from Little League. Pretty sure we always had to say it, maybe because we lost a lot.
-
This is also going up on the bulletin board. Why do i think this pennant race is going to end with 60 Games chanting `2-4-6-8, who do we appreciate? Happenstance!'?
-
4 hits and 4 walks in one-third of an inning for Taijuan. Maybe Vladdy Jr. really DOES miss Brendan Rodgers.
-
Brendan is a real competitor, a real sparkplug, and if I know him this kind of talk is just going to motivate him.
