Last call on Kenley offers.
-
Looking to move Miggy. If you're interested PM me or send me an offer. If not, I will probably deal him to Saratoga for "beans." Just trying to keep the bitching to a minimum when it happens.

WTF, kudos on that deal wouldn't have the energy to dream up and 9 for 3 or whatever it is
-
Nice to see the discussion with no games going on, I'm ready for Friday when games resume. Got some RP depth and Hanley and OF available
-
Just venting as these deals for 20-50 cents on the dollar suck for the middle class trying to compete as they all go to the top 1%. Just would be nice to see the lower class hold out for more and resist. LoMo at $2 should snatch a little more he is a God this year.

I'm with you. The freakout level can be excessive.
-
I get you. I was mainly coming from a point looking at the continual veto talk and subsequent arguing.
-
I'll speak for myself. I want the criticism if I make a deal guys like or don't like because it shows me more about the market. If I misjudged it, I want to know. Or if I can use it to gauge specific players or types of players that others like more than I do, that's useful for future deals.
-
I don't really see reason to criticize deals publicly. It doesn't do anything but start an argument. This league has a lot of it too. People laughed at our bid on bellinger in the draft. Opinions differ and sometimes we are right and sometimes we're wrong.
-
Since a couple of you guys are in a vetoing mood, I would really appreciate it if you could retroactively vote to veto that Lester deal, he has the same stats as Hendricks and costs $24, obviously a bad trade, I think I should get CarGo back. Wait, you wanted to veto that trade when I got him too, because he's been freaking awesome. It's kind of hard to keep track of at this point.

OK cool. I agree with you guys on different opinions about players. I also think it's ok for guys to discuss or criticize deals if it's done in a way that's respectful.
-
Chris I wasn't taking a shot at you by pointing that out, just making a comparison. If someone gave you anything for $9 Julio Urias, that would be a bad trade, but I wouldn't be voting to veto it, because owners have different opinions on players and I think that should be respected.

I think it sets a really bizarre precedent for the league when you basically just don't allow underperforming players to be traded. This same trade literally 3 months ago would have been vetoed on the other side. Some guys here just want to veto every trade for some reason - I think it's fair to question what their motives are.

I didn't take a side on this Jay, so no need to take a shot at me.
-
Hendricks was a $20+ player in 2017 auctions. Over 1000 pts and 5 PPI, great 2015 as well, and he's returning soon. If this isn't a fair deal for that track record...I don't know what to tell you. Someone has $9 Julio Urias on their trading block, and he may not pitch again ever.

1st of all, Morrison could be a great asset in 2018, he could not be. He only has like 100 fgpts on the year against lefties.
2nd - Morrison's been on my block for a while. I have received no offers, no messages. I just find it funny that there is an outrage over a decision that literally EVERYONE was invited to, and i've taken over a team that has a horrible pitching situation, taking a flyer on a potential cornerstone coming off injury. Might work, might not.
-
Not really. It just comes down to valuing players differently.
-
That's not the point any of these guys are making. They just don't like the trade overall.
-
I don't think it's crazy for someone to value a 7 year performance track over one half when HRs are what they are overall.
-
I think it's insane to think Morrison goes back to being a waiver wire add, but I guess we'll find out.
-
Why is every trade made the biggest outrage and collusion ever? People view people differently. Logan Morrison was likely not even drafted before this year and could likely turn back into his non-draftable self in the 2nd half of the year. Hendricks was coming off of a CY Young caliber year this past year and is only 7 dollars. It's not insane to think that Hendriks was hurt in the first half of the year and Morrison goes back to being just a regular waiver wire addition.
-
Just a guess, but I'd imagine the guys who are upset may see Logan Morrison as equal to or better asset than Hendricks for 2018. Can't see anyone complaining about Longoria for Hendricks.
-
I won't unilaterally veto a trade. The league has to decide that it should be vetoed - 7 vetos are required.
-
So because I trade a guy that's underperformed and probably priced too high to keep, for a guy that if he returns well has plenty of surplus, that's a joke? Please.
-
I mean... That's not even close

Sure hope Hendricks can get back his 85 mph fastball and become the 2018 building block he's touted to be. These trades are a joke man, how do you do it. I think you might be able to get Trout/Kershaw for Yu unless you already have them.

Shopping some well-priced studs ($14 Yu Darvish, $7 Kyle Hendricks, $6 Corey Dickerson, $18 Miguel Sano), awesome 2018 building blocks - would want a major 2017 haul in return. Send offers.
