  • My wife and I have both recovered from cancer. Currently, my brother is fighting a difficult battle against AML. I have made a donation to the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at UCSF's Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.

  • Thanks for your inspiring stories. I lost my best friend to cancer when I was 8. Years later my mother-in-law died from cancer in her early 60s.

    I work in biopharma, and had an opportunity to work on Kymriah, which is a CAR-T cell that has been revolutionary curing certain types of blood cancer. That therapy started with academic research, and now more than ever support for cancer research is needed.

You might think those of us whose loved ones didn't win their fight might be saddened, but precisely the opposite is true. It's incredibly uplifting when anyone beats this bastard, and I'll celebrate each and every win.   • As one of the OG members of the group, I have donated to cancer research every year since the league began. In 2016, anal cancer took my mother at the age of 63.
    This year, however, in light of the world we reside, I am donating in a different direction. I just made my contribution to Kids In Need of Defense (KIND).
    Thank you for the reminder to contribute. I feel incredibly fortunate to be in this league after all these years.

  • So 14 years ago today my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. During one sleepless night while she was undergoing treatment I discovered Ottoneu and this league from Dave Cameron. I was invited to join in 2012 and have loved Ottoneu since. Today we are celebrating her as she has been cancer free since 2012. In her honor and in honor of all the strong women who are fighting or have fought breast cancer, I donated to the Nightbirde Foundation.
